Another update from Charlie and Teresa!
(Photos 1-6) We had a wonderful day today… Beginning with a delicious breakfast at the Ampersand B&B, hosted by the delightful and entertaining owner, Irene! (our photo with her follows this text).
We had a scheduled tour of West Point with Claudia, a good friend of Lyn Eagan. It was a fantastic tour of this historic military complex! Many thanks to Lyn for arranging the tour for us!
God gifted us with another beautiful and safe day as we rode through the backroads of NJ, MA, CT, VT, and NY—enjoying the lovely scenic farms, townships, boroughs, mountains and rivers!
We have landed in Bennington, VT for the night.
Photos (7-10) We wound our way through beautiful Vermont backroads to see the longest 2-way covered bridge in the world. It spans the Connecticut River, connecting Cornish, NH and Windsor, VT.
Our biggest feat of the day was “climbing” Mt. Washington near Gorham, NH—its summit is 6,288 ft.!
The mountain photos are of us at the top, and heading back down the mountain(rear shot).
We took a short “shamrock” ride after breakfast and hiked to the beautiful Glen Ellis Falls near Gorham.
We took the afternoon off to rest, wash clothes, and nap!
Tomorrow morning we will leave our riding buddies, Tom and Debbie Barnard and Mike and Sonya Hosick. We will ride north toward New Brunswick, and they will turn south for home. We have had 4 days of gorgeous weather, and great fun riding with these two couples!
Thankful for God’s protection and provision!
Continue following us for more fun updates as Charlie and Teresa continue on their 5,000 mile ride! 💙
