🎬What’s on your agenda this weekend?

The Fresh Coast Film Festival is the first of its kind: a documentary film festival celebrating the outdoor lifestyle, water-rich environment and resilient spirit of the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest. The festival will gather the best in environmental and cultural filmmaking from around the world while creating a venue for, and building a culture of, Great Lakes storytelling!🌊

If you are interested in attending the festival, there are still plenty of volunteer opportunities available. Not only is it a great way to make an impact in our local community, it is a great way to check out the festival and connect with local filmmakers and residents!

Women's Center | United Way Partner Agency Spotlight 🤝
📍 Serving: Marquette County victims of intimate partner and non-intimate partner violence
💡 The Mission: To provide programs and services in Marquette and Alger Counties that Protect, Educate, Advocate, Counsel, and Empower all survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
💙 Community Impact: The Women's Center works around the clock to provide 24/7 crisis support line and an emergency shelter as well as outreach services for all genders: Male, Female, Transgender. Married, separated, or divorced, dating, have a child in common, living together / intimate partners, opposite or same gender relationships. Our services are free and confidential. Additionally, The Women's Center provides supportive, legal, housing, medical and basic advocacy, and personal protective orders.

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity and ReStore will be hosting a Veterans Build Day this October 12th, 2026 between the hours of 8:30am-4:00pm, with a lunch break and live music following the event!

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity invites veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families and supporters to join us for a special Veterans Build Day on Monday, October 12th!

This is an opportunity to come together, reconnect through service, and put your hands to work helping build a safe and affordable home for a local family. Whether you have years of construction experience or have never picked up a hammer, there’s a place for you on our build site! Our experienced construction team will be there to guide you, teach you, and make sure everyone has a meaningful and safe day.

📍 Serving: Marquette County residents receiving hospice services and those in need of short-term care who are unable to stay comfortably in their homes.
💡 The Mission: To provide compassionate care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and support for individuals and their families during their hospice or respite journeys.
💙 Community Impact: Residents receive exceptional care and attention 24 hours a day. The Trillium House works collaboratively with local hospice agencies and other health care providers to ensure continuity of care throughout local residents hospice stay.
