We are a donation based hospitality house for patients and families who are receiving medial care at the UPHS Marquette Hospital . Our guests donate what they can best afford, and we strive to give them a "Home away from Home" when they need it most.

To honor NICU Awareness Month, we celebrate the incredible resilience and courage of NICU families as they navigate the challenges of staying close and caring for their precious little ones.

Families who walk through the doors of Beacon House often arrive carrying the weight of uncertainty as their newborns work hard to grow stronger. After sleepless nights, long days, and the challenges that can come with childbirth, these families need more than just a place to stay—they need hope, and a place where they feel safe, supported, comforted and cared for.

For the past 36 years, the Mariucci Family Beacon House has been honored to walk alongside countless families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We are proud to provide a home away from home where families can find comfort, compassion, and hope while they focus on what matters most: their little ones.

This NICU Awareness Month, we honor the strength of these families and the tiny fighters who inspire us every day. 🍼💜

All that mattered to first-time parents Ashley and Luke was to remain close to their newborn twin sons. Born nine weeks early at just 31 weeks, the twins weighed only 2.5 pounds each and spent 30 days in the NICU. Every one of those days had a night spent at Beacon House… right next door to their precious babies.

Throughout their time away from their home, Ashley and Luke found a home away from home at the Beacon House. They also found compassionate support and comfort, giving them the peace of mind to focus on their tiny little sons during an incredibly challenging time.

Reflecting on their four-week stay, Ashley and Luke shared:

"So much thanks and compliments to the Beacon House and staff. They have been so thoughtful and positive throughout our four-week stay. Genuine smiles and asking how our twins were doing in the NICU along the way, we felt like family. Knowing a place like this is available is so comforting in a time of chaos. This house allowed us to stay together as a family rather than splitting up and driving three hours away in order for us to keep working and making ends meet during this time."

For Ashley and Luke, the Beacon House provided more than a roof over their heads; it provided a place where their family could be together and stay together, surrounded by love. 💙🍼💙

Join us on Sunday, September 6 at 12:00 PM at the Ore Dock Biergarten for an afternoon of great food, cold drinks, and exciting raffle action. We'll begin by drawing the losing tickets, building anticipation until only one ticket remains—the lucky $5,000 winner!

Each raffle ticket includes:
1 Entry in the Raffle
2 Tokens to enjoy lunch from the food trucks or an Ore Dock beverage (use both for food, both for drinks, or one of each—your choice!)
