Our main program Paws for Life USA trains puppies/adult dogs for Service and Assistance for the disabled plus Facility and Therapy to help others. Paws for Life USA., is a 501c3 non profit organization, located in Marietta, GA. Our main program, Paws For Life is dedicated to providing service dogs for those with disabilities. We train dogs for all disabilities except the totally blind. Dogs begin

training at 8 weeks of age, either with their handler/foster or with one of our trainers until a match is found. Every dog we place we are with that dog for the dogs life and available for the handler/family 24/7. The pups go through many levels of obedience training and also they are working on their task training at the same time. They live, breath and work on their socialization, habituation and tasks. Training for graduation takes place over the course of months or years as every team is different and this also depends on when they enter our program. As the owner's needs progress and change, we train the dog and help them adapt to the changes that take place over time. Our Paws for Life USA program also provides/ trains Skilled Companion, Facility, Therapy and Emotional Support dogs. Our other programs consist of Animal Rescue and Educational Information about Disaster Relief and Education all related to our Paws For Life Program. If you are and want more information on Service Dog Training or our other programs or have seen a dog on our web site, or a dog available for general adoption please contact [email protected] or text or call 770-402-0297 as we do not discuss service dog or disability questions via Facebook or instant message due to Hippa Laws. Your privacy is paramount to us. Paws for Life USA has a program called Pound Puppies it is dedicated to saving the lives of pregnant mothers and orphaned puppies when possible; all of them are given the chance to regain their health, go through basic obedience to prepare for their forever homes. During this time they are temperament tested, to assess whether they are suited for our Paws for Life program. Paws for Life USA, also provides Educational services to any club, group, organization or business who would like to get more information on how to look after their animal family in times of a national disaster or on medical first aid. We also provide Educational talks to organizations and specific medical groups on how Service or Therapy Dogs can help with various disabilities. We also have our own Therapy Group called Cobb County Pet Partners which arranges for our teams to visit many locations to offer TLC Love and affection to others or assist with therapists and their clients in the work place. If you have any questions or would like more information about getting a service animal or becoming a therapy team we are happy to answer any of your questions.

September is National Service Dog Month! 🐶🇺🇸

At Paws for Life USA, we believe service dogs transform lives — not just for the humans they help, but for entire families. 🎯 For over two decades, we’ve custom-trained service dogs and their handlers, side-by-side, building independence, confidence, and companionship.

This month, we want to honor every service dog & team out there — and to highlight the work that still needs support:

✨ Did you know?

Our dogs assist with autism, mobility, seizure response, psychiatric needs, and more.

Training is not a one-way street — both dog and handler train together over 12–18 months.

Even after “graduation,” we remain committed for the lifetime of the team.

We’d love for you to help us make this National Service Dog Month meaningful:

Share this post to spread awareness.

Support a team via donation, sponsorship, or volunteering.

Learn & Advocate — know your rights under the ADA, and educate others so service dogs are respected in public spaces.

Every shared story, every small gift, every voice helps. Because service dogs are more than companions — they’re life-changers.
