We are excited to begin our summer season on Friday, June 12 at 7 PM in the St. Marys auditorium by presenting "Stars, Stripes, and Sousa," featuring Rod Miller taking the podium as John Philip Sousa.

Our special guest artist is Charles Saenz, Professor of Trumpet and Associate Dean of the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University. A prestigious talent, Professor Saenz is also a featured performer this week at the 50th annual International Trumpet Guild conference, held at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He will perform Herbert L. Clarke's thrilling "Bride of the Waves" and Leroy Anderson's classic "Trumpeter's Lullaby" alongside the band.

Join us for an evening of exceptional music, and thank you for supporting live, local performances in our community!

Today the Marion Local Varsity Baseball team heads to Garrold Parrett Field in Hamler, Ohio (Patrick Henry HS) to take on Seneca East in the D6 Regional Semifinals!

By now, you should have received an email from Mr. Spettel with Marching Band fees for the 2026 season. He worked hard to get hard copies passed out on the last day of school, but there were a few students he was unable to catch before summer break began.

🎺 Marion Local Band Program Reminder 🎺

Uniform fitting will be held tonight, May 19th from 7:00–8:30 PM in the Band Room.

✅ All band members must attend either the May 14th fitting or tonight’s fitting. Once your fitting is complete, you will be dismissed.

🔹 Veteran members: Please bring your parade shirt, black shorts, and black marching shoes so we can check for proper fit.

🔹 New members: You will be fitted for your parade uniform tonight.

🎶 All members will also be fitted for their competition uniform during these fittings.

If you are unable to attend either fitting date, please be proactive and contact Mrs. Kuck or Mrs. Koesters to make other arrangements.

A great band program is built one class at a time.

Last night we celebrated our Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors who each play an important role in continuing the tradition of excellence in the Marion Local Band Program. Thank you for your commitment, your countless hours of practice, and the memories you created this year.

To our Seniors — thank you for your leadership and the example you set for the younger students. You will be missed.

Congratulations to all on a tremendous year.
And have an amazing summer! 💙💛🎶
