💕 Calling all Marion Local 4th & 5th Graders! 💕

Is your child ready to learn the basics of babysitting? 🧸 Modern Mothers of Marion, in partnership with the American Legion Auxiliary, is excited to offer our 2026 Babysitting Clinic!

This is a great opportunity for students to build confidence, learn responsibility, and develop valuable skills to help prepare them for future babysitting opportunities!

Through interactive, hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, students will explore a variety of babysitting topics across both evenings!

🎨🌈 Color Dash is BACK this Monday! 🌈🎨

Join us Monday, July 20 at Marion Township Park for an evening full of color, community, and summer fun!

🍔 Two Dads Food Truck and 🍧 Kona Ice will be serving beginning at 5:30 PM, so come early, grab dinner or a sweet treat, and cheer on the Marion Community Fundamental T-ball League before the fun begins! ⚾

🏃 Color Dash Details
📍 Registration & Check-In: 7:30 PM (near the shelter house)
🎉 Race Starts: 8:00 PM, immediately following the ball games

💲 Still need to register? No problem! On-site registration will be available for $15 per runner (ages 2 and up).

✨ Every registration helps give back to our community by supporting local organizations and funding annual scholarships.

🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 Modern Mothers of Marion Scholarship Recipients — Grace Brunswick + Dalton Pohlmann! 🎓

✨ Grace Brunswick plans to participate in a summer missionary program through Damascus before attending the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne to major in Nursing.

✨ Dalton Pohlmann will attend Ohio Northern University this fall to pursue degrees in Musical Theatre and Finance, with hopes of performing professionally.

As part of the scholarship process, students participated in an in-person interview with our scholarship committee, where they openly discussed important topics facing today’s youth, including peer pressure, mental health, social media use, bullying, and substance abuse. We look forward to using these valuable insights to help shape our future educational initiatives.

Since the establishment of Modern Mothers of Marion, we have awarded nearly $5,000 in scholarships to deserving Marion Local seniors and remain committed to supporting students who demonstrate courage, authenticity, leadership, and service.

Congratulations again to Grace and Dalton on this well-deserved achievement! We also extend our sincere thanks to all students who interviewed with us this year.

✨ Scholarship Interviews Recap ✨

Last night, five of our moms met at the Chickasaw Library to interview 9 incredible Marion Local seniors for our annual scholarship.

💡 Instead of essays, we chose 15-minute interviews—giving students the chance to speak on real-life topics like:
📱 Social media
🧠 Peer pressure + substance abuse
💚 Mental health
🛑 Bullying
🙏 Values + faith

Their honesty and insight were inspiring—and will help shape our future programming for our community’s youth.

💗 Our favorite moments came from the final questions:
• What advice would you give your younger self?
• How has your mom (or a mother figure) shaped who you are?

The love and appreciation for their moms was undeniable—we encouraged them all to go home and say “thank you.”

🎉 We are so impressed by these young leaders—the Class of 2026 is something special!
