El Grandes Ligas Sugar Ray Marimón compartió algunos tips de pitcheo con los niños de la comunidad de Caño de Oro, en la isla de Tierra Bomba.

Gracias, Sugar, por acompañarnos, compartir tu conocimiento y estar siempre disponible para aportar y hacer parte de las actividades de Project Béisbol. Estos espacios son una gran oportunidad para que nuestros niños aprendan de quienes han vivido el béisbol al más alto nivel.

En El Peñol, padres, entrenadores y deportistas han entendido este concepto de una manera muy especial. No solo trabajamos en valores, béisbol e inglés; también creamos espacios donde las familias pueden compartir, conectar y sentirse parte de algo más grande.

Estamos muy orgullosos de este equipo, que está dando pasos firmes no solo para formar buenos jugadores, sino también para construir una verdadera familia y crear nuevas oportunidades. 🙌⚾

Segunda Clínica y Convocatoria de Béisbol en Guatapé

⚾ ¡GUATAPÉ, SEGUIMOS CRECIENDO!

La Fundación Project Béisbol invita a todos los niños y niñas entre 6 y 15 años a participar en nuestra segunda Clínica y Convocatoria de Béisbol en Guatapé.

Después de una primera jornada en la que muchos niños tuvieron la oportunidad de acercarse por primera vez al béisbol, regresamos con una nueva convocatoria para seguir llevando este hermoso deporte a más niños y jóvenes del municipio. ⚾

📍 Cancha sintética de fútbol de Guatapé
👦👧 Edades: 6 a 15 años

Será un espacio para aprender, divertirse, hacer deporte y conocer más sobre Project Béisbol, un proyecto que busca brindar nuevas oportunidades a través del béisbol y contribuir al crecimiento de este deporte en el interior de Colombia.

Este miércoles 26 de agosto tendremos nuestra segunda clínica y convocatoria de béisbol en Guatapé, un espacio pensado para que más niños y jóvenes tengan la oportunidad de conocer, aprender y disfrutar del béisbol.

📍 Lugar: Cancha Sintética de Guatapé
📅 Fecha: Miércoles 26 de agosto
⏰ Hora: 1:00 p. m. a 2:00 p. m.

Esta será nuestra segunda convocatoria, después de una primera jornada en la que despertamos el interés de muchos niños por este hermoso deporte. Seguimos trabajando para llevar el béisbol a nuevas comunidades y contribuir a su crecimiento en el interior de Colombia.

Rich has been deeply involved in collecting baseball equipment in Virginia to donate to Project Baseball. A few months ago, his son’s glove was donated along with the rest of the equipment.

During his visit to Colombia, Rich opened one of the donation boxes that had been packed randomly—and there it was: his son’s glove.

For our entire Project Baseball team, it was a beautiful and unexpected moment. It reminded us of the connections we create through baseball and the meaningful moments that generosity can bring.

This time, it was a glove. But it goes far beyond that.

This story reminded us that when we do things with purpose and from the heart, life has a way of sending us little messages that reaffirm that our efforts are worth it.

In Project Beisbol every piece of equipment has future, a purpose, and story ready to be continued.

Our young athletes in El Peñol are deeply inspired and grateful to Rich for the equipment, the clinic, and the powerful guidance he shared with them—especially his focus on baseball fundamentals such as proper throwing mechanics, fielding technique, batting stance, and game awareness. These core skills, along with his encouragement and mentorship, will play a key role in their development both on and off the field, shaping not only better players but also stronger teammates and individuals. ⚾️❤️

We had a very productive clinic with our guest, Rich Mandleur, as part of our International Visitor Program

At Project Béisbol, we are grateful for his passion for the game and for sharing his knowledge on the field with the children and young athletes of El Peñol.

As part of his visit, Rich will be joining us on a journey that includes visits to El Peñol, Guatapé, Cartagena, Tierra Bomba, Malagana, and other communities throughout Colombia. ⚾️🇨🇴

July was a month full of activity and growth for our club AGUILAS PB PEÑOL. We had 2 exchange games: one in Envigado and another in El Peñol with our friends at the Fundación Cubs Envigado, two experiences that allowed us to keep strengthening our young athletes’ level of play and gain valuable experience as a team.

We’re filled with joy to start seeing leaders emerge within the team, and to confirm that unity and teamwork are what’s making this process move forward so well.

A special shoutout to our parents, who organized fundraising activities to continue supporting our players’ journey. Without their commitment and dedication, these achievements wouldn’t be possible.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Inderpe - El Peñol, Antioquia. for lending us the institutional bus for our travel, and for continuing to strengthen the partnership with Project Béisbol for the benefit of young athletes and their communities. This kind of support is what makes it possible for us to keep growing.
