Four baseball communities. One shared love for the game. ⚾🇨🇴
On September 20, we held our fourth Baseball Integration Festival in Norte de Santander, bringing together 80 young athletes from Villa del Rosario, Cúcuta, and Tibú for a day of baseball, learning, and connection.
Players competed, met athletes from other communities, and took part in MLB Players STEM League sessions led by Project Béisbol Education Manager Maria Ceballos and Ángel Rodríguez, who recently represented Colombia at the MLB Players STEM League Global Championship in Miami.
This visit was also special for our Partnerships & Programs Coordinator, Andres Angulo , who traveled to Cúcuta for the first time to meet the communities we work with in the region and help lead the games and activities. We’re also grateful to our Regional Coordinator, Jose Suares , for his continued support in strengthening these communities.
Before the festival, we visited Halcones and Talentos de Karito for baseball clinics, spending time with their players and coaches and continuing to build relationships across the region.
Thank you to all the coaches, parents, volunteers, and young athletes who came out, played, learned, and continue to help baseball grow in Norte de Santander.
A special thank you to The Plaks Family for funding this program, and to the Players Trust and Learn Fresh for their partnership and support of the MLB Players STEM League and equipment donations.
Norte de Santander has passionate young athletes and communities ready to grow. We invite local organizations, businesses, and supporters to join us in creating more opportunities for the next generation through baseball. Together, we can keep growing the game and its impact across the region. ⚾💙
