Thank you to Assumption School for organizing the 1st Annual Spring Dig Charity Volleyball Tournament. It was a great day seeing the community rally around an important cause, and thank you to all who participated.

In the words of its organizer, Roy Zamora, “This event was never just about volleyball. It was about bringing our schools and communities together, giving the kids a fun day, and supporting a cause that matters.”

Whether you are joining us for the 5K Run, the Walk or the Color Run Kid Sprint, please remember there is no parking at Verona High School for this year. Shuttles will be picking up guests from the alternate locations and bringing them to Verona Park until 12:30pm.

Did you catch the adorable Blakely on CBS sharing her favorite thing about her Valerie Fund Children's Center? (Shhhh, it's Kristen, her Child Life Therapist☺️).

Thanks to the great news team at CBS 2 News NY for featuring The Valerie Fund and Team Blakely with our Walk & 5K Run this Saturday. This event, in its 21st year, raises money to provide psychosocial care for children with cancer and blood disorders at our 8 Children's Centers and one program.

Congratulations to our Silver-level fundraising superstar teams! You form the heart of this community event, raising awareness and funds for our Valerie Fund kids.

The money raised from our Walk & 5K Run funds a comprehensive model of care that recognizes healing involves not just the body, but also the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of each child and their family.

This is the difference treatment at a Valerie Fund Children’s Center brings. Thank you!

On August 14, 2026, Chapter XLIV: A New Camp Begins. Whether on the side of the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance, the force is strong at Camp Happy Times, a week-long overnight oncology camp that is free for any child who has had cancer, including siblings! The Valerie Fund provides transportation, so kids from as far away as Georgia and Idaho have been able to join the Camp family.
