One year of partnership. Three training centers. 2,000+ young people enrolled.
In Syria, progress is taking shape through practical investments in skills and opportunity.
Through the Nomu Al Ghurair – Mawared project, the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation مؤسسة عبد الله الغرير and Human Aid and Development (HAND) have rehabilitated and equipped three vocational training centers across Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo, including 26 training facilities designed to strengthen hands-on learning.
To date, the project has enrolled 2,087 young people, with female participation reaching 44% of the target, and supported 943 graduates, with 416 achieving reported positive career outcomes.
Behind these milestones is a shared commitment to connecting training with real labor market needs, supported by private-sector partners including Al Bahra Electric, Al Jazeera Paints, and Al Tatari Industrial Group.
Today in Damascus, we're reflecting on what one year of collaboration has made possible, and how we can continue turning skills into meaningful opportunities.
Because impact isn't measured by what we promise, but by what we help make possible.
