🎉 MAPLE VALLEY… WE HAVE A HOME! 🎉
And not just any home.
EmpowerMe Arts is moving into the former Music Trader space at Four Corners. 🧡🎨🎶
It’s hard to put into words what this means to us.
For years, we’ve been building EmpowerMe Arts one lesson, one class, one event, one family and one idea at a time.
We’ve listened to our community, tried new things, refined what we offer, grown our programs and kept dreaming about what could happen if we finally found the right space for everything EmpowerMe Arts has become.
The road here hasn’t been a straight one. We started in our home studio, made it through COVID, faced more than a few HUGE curveballs—and plenty of smaller ones too—and had plenty of moments when we had to get very creative about how to keep moving forward.
And now, gratefully, those pieces are coming together.
We have a home.
And we feel incredibly fortunate that our next chapter gets to begin in a space with such a long creative history in Maple Valley.
For more than 30 years, Music Trader served this community and became a familiar place for local musicians, students and families. Now that Ada has retired, we are honored to be the next small business to call this space home and so grateful for her support as we begin making it our own.
There’s something really special about getting to bring a new kind of creative space into a location where creativity has already lived for so many years.
And for EmpowerMe Arts, this space changes a lot.
We’ll finally have the room to bring our music lessons, art lessons, classes, workshops and community programs together in one place.
But we also get to add something we’ve been dreaming about for a long time: a real creative storefront and drop-in art space!
A place where you can stop in for the guitar strings or art supplies you need.

Come in and make something—even if you’re not enrolled in a class.
Take a lesson.
Try a workshop.
Bring your kid to create.
Come create yourself.
Or simply have another local place where creativity is accessible, welcoming and part of everyday life.

We’ll share the transformation, introduce you to what’s coming, and share a few messy behind-the-scenes moments too. 😅
