Lake Wilderness Preservation Association Lake Wilderness Preservation Association is a active advocate and protector of the health and environment of Lake Wilderness and its watershed.

LWPA Duties include:
Acting to help preserve native wildlife in and around Lake Wilderness. Conducting regularly scheduled and consistent measurements of lake conditions. Reporting lake conditions to various government agencies, requesting appropriate actions, and following-up on the agencies response. On lake issues only, providing the Lake Wilderness community with a stronger voice at the city,

county, and state levels of government. Informing the Lake Wilderness Community of government issues/projects that may have an impact on the lake. Providing education for lake users and the community. Performing annual clean-ups in and around the lake. Assisting and supporting governmental agencies by supplying facts, making requests, and supplying volunteer support for projects at Lake Wilderness. Assisting with mapping treatment locations and problem areas by surveying the lake. Encouraging and assisting in scientific studies of the lake.
