On Sunday, December 6, twelve people will experience the North Pole Limited Christmas train in North Bend—and TPUSA Communities Maple Valley has four tickets remaining to give to one local family.

We’re looking for a family who could truly use this blessing: perhaps parents who work incredibly hard to provide, but special experiences like this simply aren’t in the budget, or a family who continually serves, gives and shows up for others without expecting anything in return.

You may nominate someone you know or nominate your own family. Please message TPUSA Communities Maple Valley privately rather than naming anyone in the comments. Tell us a little about why the family came to mind and who would be attending.

Nominations will be accepted through Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 25. Their circumstances will remain private, and the selected family will never be expected to share their story or appear publicly in photos.

The North Pole Limited is a two-hour round-trip experience departing from the North Bend Depot. Families will ride to the seasonally decorated Railway History Campus, where they’ll have approximately one hour to explore museum exhibits, enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, make seasonal crafts, see all the Christmas decorations and meet Santa inside the restored Chapel Car. Every child will receive a present from Santa! 🎅🎁

🍦 LOOK AT THESE HARDWORKING BOYS! ❤️

Our local Scouts and their amazing leaders were out working hard at their fundraiser, and TPUSA Communities – Families Maple Valley had the absolute blessing of treating the crew to ice cream from Flying Swirl (did you know they have a permanent truck by Black Diamond Safeway?! 🥳)

And let me tell you… seeing those faces light up at the words “ICE CREAM!” absolutely made my day.

Call me selfish, but that’s why I love doing this. There is something incredibly joyful about getting to quietly bless people who are out serving and working in our community.

We also opened the tab a little wider and another 15 people in the community got unexpectedly blessed with ice cream too. I didn’t get to see their reactions, though, so clearly next time I’ll have to hide in the bushes and watch. 😂😂 KIDDING.

But seriously—God bless these next generations, their leaders who pour into them, and everyone teaching our kids the value of service, responsibility, and hard work.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of an organization that gives me opportunities to simply love on our community.

🇺🇸 Patriot Safe Space I in the books!

What a great night! A mix of new faces and familiar ones came together for real conversation about our communities, what people want to see more of, and how each of us can get involved.

We talked about everything from more educational and social gatherings to community outreach, serving local needs, and finding ways to reach people who may not normally feel represented or connected. A few people are even thinking about starting chapters of their own!

My favorite part? Hearing that simply gathering with other patriots, talking openly, and realizing we are not alone gave people hope. ❤️

This is what community is about. Meet your neighbors. Find your people. Encourage one another. See a need. Meet a need. Stand strong.

We will not back down. We will keep showing up, building relationships, serving our communities, and getting involved. 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight. This is just getting started! Headworks Brewing was an amazing host with delicious food and drink options available.
