Tioga County Homeless Initiative (TCHI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide a warm, safe, and caring environment for those in need, offering not only shelter but compassion, dignity, and support. TCHI operates with a small team of dedicated staff, including our Director of Opera
tions and caseworkers, while the majority of our team, including board members and support staff, are generous volunteers. We are sustained by a strong network of faith-based organizations, local churches, and community partners who provide meals, staffing support, and fellowship. Our shelter offers guests a clean, secure bed, a nutritious evening meal, access to showers and laundry, and a place to feel safe. Case management services are a vital part of our work, providing guests with assistance in finding employment, securing housing, accessing public benefits, and connecting with critical resources. We also support families by coordinating with local school districts to ensure children continue their education without disruption. At Tioga County Homeless Initiative, we believe that every person deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity, regardless of their circumstances. Through community collaboration and a shared commitment to helping others, we work every day to reduce homelessness and uplift lives in Tioga County.
