🏈 Do you love watching football and following along with football squares? If so, here's a fun way to enjoy every Thursday Night Football game while supporting your favorite Illinois Celtics baseball player!

Our annual Thursday Night Football Squares fundraiser is back, and it's one of our most popular fundraisers of the year.

Here's how it works:
• $100 per square
• One square covers all 17 Thursday Night Football games this NFL season
• 50% of the proceeds are paid back to the winners throughout the season
• The remaining 50% goes directly toward helping offset the costs of tournaments, training, uniforms, and player development for our team

If you'd like to purchase a square, reach out to the player you're supporting and they'll get you set up.

The 11U Celtics were incredibly stoked to play in one of our local rivals’ fundraiser events today!

The annual New Lenox Rebels Wiffle Ball Tournament is always extremely well run and a great time for the players and families.

This year, the Celtics rolled in with two teams — the Children of the Corn and the Cornholios — and both teams had a great day. The Children of the Corn made a nice run all the way to the semifinals before falling to a tough Hitters team.

Either way, it was another great day at the ballfields, more baseball memories for the boys, and plenty of fun with friends and family.

A special thank you to the New Lenox Rebels for the hospitality and for putting on another great event. We always enjoy supporting other local programs and appreciate the invite!

⚒️ IRON WORKERS LOCAL 63 PLAYER OF THE GAME ⚒️

There's an old saying... strike while the iron is hot.

Connor Fussell must have taken that to heart.

Connor came out swinging, going 2-for-2 at the plate, scoring 2 runs, and then decided that wasn't enough...so he went out and stole four bases for good measure.

The Iron Workers know a thing or two about building things, and Connor helped build another great day for the Celtics one hit, one run, and one stolen base at a time.

The only thing he was guilty of this weekend was grand theft bases. 😆

🦷 BITE SIZE PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY PLAYER OF THE GAME 🦷

Who says "bite-size" means small?

Apparently nobody told Charlie "Boom" Bloom. 💥

Charlie came in relief against a loaded Rhino OG lineup on a scorching Friday afternoon and wasn't intimidated one bit. He attacked the zone, competed every pitch, and gave our Celtics a chance against one of the best hitting teams we've faced all season.

The scoreboard might not have gone our way, but Charlie proved something we tell the boys all the time...

Heart isn't measured in inches, and competitors don't back down.

As for Rhino's hitters...they may want to schedule an appointment with Bite Size Pediatric Dentistry, because Charlie had them grinding their teeth all afternoon. 😁

PRISM PLAYER OF THE GAME – Kyle Kozar

At PRISM, they help people recover, perform, and get back to living the lifestyle they deserve.

On Thursday against a loaded US Prime Baseball Club out of Fort Wayne, Kyle Kozar made sure the Celtics had a chance to keep living theirs.

Called on in relief, Kyle stepped onto the mound and absolutely settled things down. He attacked hitters, competed every pitch, and gave our offense every opportunity to climb back into the game against one of the toughest lineups we've faced all season.

The bats came up a little short, but Kyle's performance was exactly what every coach hopes for from a relief pitcher—confidence, composure, and a competitor who never stopped battling.

Curly battled through the heat and took the ball in one of the toughest games of our season against a loaded Lowell Devils squad. Coming off the IR, he showed grit, toughness, and never backed down. He kept us in the game all afternoon and gave us every opportunity to punch our ticket to the championship.

🛡️ PLAYER OF THE GAME | Lincoln Young 🛡️

If you're looking for someone to protect your valuables, call Kevin Molloy.

If you're looking for someone to protect the left side of the infield...call Lincoln Young.

Lincoln was an absolute insurance policy at shortstop this weekend, locking down everything that came his way. At the plate, he was just as dependable, going 2-for-2, swiping 2 bases, and scoring 1 run to help lead the Celtics.

When the ball was hit his direction, you could say the opposing hitters were underinsured.
