The Illinois 4-H Moments That Matter Virtual Photography Contest has officially kicked off!

Illinois 4-H youth photographers, it’s your time to shine! Share your unique perspective and capture the moments that matter most to you through the lens of your camera.

Thank you Red Horse Ranch for allowing our group to come learn about your facility! Our group learned about different breeds of horses and they even were able to brush a few.

Registration is officially open! Join the State 4-H Livestock Ambassador Team at the 2025 Junior Livestock Conference, where this year's theme of the Wild, Wild West meets hands-on learning!

Whether you own livestock or not, there’s plenty of fun and discovery waiting for you.

📍 Location: Crowne Plaza, Springfield
👥 Who can attend: 7th-9th grade 4-H members
💵 Cost: $170 (includes lodging, t-shirt, meals, and activities!)

Need an excuse to have pizza?? Celebrate National Pizza Month with 4-H’s favorite pizza from Casey’s! 🍕😋 When you purchase any large pizza from Oct. 2 through Nov. 5, Casey’s will donate $1 (up to $100,000) to 4-H programs in Casey’s Communities. Casey’s customers can also add a donation to their online order to support 4-H. Starting TOMORROW!

Congratulations to our club members that competed in the Will County 4H Horse Show! Club President Chloe won Grand Champion for Performance Horse. She also was division champion for In-Hand, Western Performance And Speed. Maddyx was the Jr. Performance Horse Champion and the Halter Horse Reserve Champion. She also was the division champion for In-Hand, Western, and English Performance. I am so proud of these kids.

Congratulations to all of our members that competed at the Illinois State Fair over the weekend. Our group took Reserve Champion for the Passport to the World Intercultural project. Club President Chloe Miller won Grand Champion for Animal Science with her project on Duck Embryology. Chloe H. won the inspire award for Visual Arts: Heritage Arts with her project on candle making.

Hello everyone. My name is Noelle Miller and I am the leader of the Will County Saddle 4-H Club. This is a horse project/general project 4-H group based out of Francis Field in New Lenox. I want to invite everyone to our open house on Wednesday August 14 at 6:30pm at Francis Field. 4-H is for ages 8-18. Our group meets once a month at Francis Field and we normally try to have an extra meeting every month at a barn or alternate location . If you know of any youth with an interest in horses, please encourage them to attend this meeting. It is not required for members to own horses to join our club. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me on Facebook or using the phone number on the flyer.

Also if there are any barns or trainers that would like to host our club for a demonstration or clinic please reach out! Our members riding styles range from barrel racing to western pleasure to ranch to English, so we are open to learning from any trainers willing to teach.

We had another successful member recruitment/fundraising table at the FFYF tack swap. Thank you to Club President Chloe and Club Vice President Sophia for doing such a great job.

Last week at our meeting our group learned how to make homemade ravioli. Our group is participating in the passport to the world project and Italy is the country we are studying this year.

Thank you Marcello for teaching our group. We had a great time and the ravioli tasted amazing.
