Best Day Ever!!!!!!!
๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿชฟ๐Ÿด๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿ๐ŸฆŒ๐ŸŒพ

Today, almost 100 Cardington FFA members teamed up to create a special day for our 3rd grade students! Students collaborated to create a positive learning environment for our future FFA members by making lesson plans, demonstrating the skills they need to be successful in the agricultural field, and coming up with games that teach ag! The third graders got to learn about livestock, tractor and ATV driving, where our food comes from, and so much more!

We would like to extend our appreciation to all of our members, parents, and school staff for making this day possible!!

State Convention 2026! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽ‰

On April 30th and May 1st, our members were given the great opportunity of traveling to Columbus to attend the 98th Ohio FFA Convention and Expo! We were able to make new friends, connect with other chapters, and hear some great advice from 4 Keynote Speakers.

๐Ÿ† Our Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team was recognized as the National Champions on stage during the 3rd General Session.

โญ๏ธ Isabelle Hess, Bryce Hartley, and Hailey Littlemeyer were recognized as State Gold-Rated Officers for success with their Secretary, Reporter, and Treasurer books!

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ Megan Gardner represented Cardington on stage for our Charitable Contributions! Christopher Kinsey and Ava Davis were also able to receive the Gold Medal Chapter Award on stage.

๐Ÿ’™ We were fortunate to have 14 State Degree Recipients. These members excelled in their SAE Projects throughout the past 3-4 years. This is the highest degree that Ohio FFA can award members. Congratulations to all of our recipients!

๐ŸŽบ Jaxon Ongalibang and Maddy Toombs represented Cardington in the State FFA Band! They were able to make new friends, better their skills, and preform 3 times in sessions 4, 5, and the band and choir concert!

๐Ÿฅ™ Our President and Vice President, Madison Garrabrant and Jaxon Ongalibang, were invited to the Delegate Luncheon where they were able to participate in the State Delegate Process. They were also able to come up with ideas on how to celebrate 100 years of the Ohio FFA on the state and local levels.

๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŒทState Floriculture CDE!โš˜๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

Today 4 Cardington FFA Members spent their day at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds in Circleville to compete in the State Floriculture CDE! Megan Gardner, Ky Barlow, Madison Toombs, and Jaxon Ongalibang all took the State Test the week prior to qualify to the State CDE.

This CDE consists of identifying bedding plants, potted plants, flowers, herbs, general equipment, florist tools, insects, diseases, and fungi. Additionally students judged arrangements and placed them 1 through 4 according to balance, harmony, and wellness of the flowers. These members calculated PPM problems dealing with fertilizer and ended with creating bud vases with correctly priced invoices!

Results will be out soon and your Cardington FFA Top Florist will hopefully be announced at the banquet this Friday!

Congrats to Megan, Ky, Madison, and Jaxon for getting the opportunity to represent Cardington at the State CDE!

Floral Fun in the Classroom! ๐Ÿ’

This past week the Plant & Animal Science classes wrapped up their floriculture unit where they learned how to construct boutonnieres, put together arrangements, and ensure the longevity of flowers while prioritizing beauty and strategic placement.

The wonderful flower arrangements were gifted to teachers and staff of CLHS. Additionally, the Plant & Animal Science class took the State Floriculture CDE test where they identified different arrangements, flowers, and tools, priced flower arrangements properly, and assessed issues related to insects, diseases, and fungi.

We are incredibly thankful for Senator Reineke and his hospitality and we will forever be proud of this team!

Happy FFA Week, Everyone! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
Whatโ€™s your favorite memory in the Blue Jacket?

Maybe your child is the first in your family to join FFA.

They come home one day and say, โ€œI think I want to join ag.โ€

Youโ€™re not sure what that means.
You donโ€™t know what a record book is.
Youโ€™ve never heard of a juding contest.
You donโ€™t own boots for stock shows or know what โ€œofficial dressโ€ even looks like.

But you sign the paper anyway.

Four years go by in a blink.

Early mornings.
Late nights.
Contests you didnโ€™t understand but showed up for anyway.
Projects that tested patience.
Speeches that built confidence.
Moments that built character.

And somewhere along the way, that blue jacket never really was just a jacket.

It became responsibility.
It became work ethic.
It became leadership.
It became confidence your child didnโ€™t even know they had.

You may have had no idea what FFA entailed when they startedโ€ฆ

But by the end of it, youโ€™ll never be able to fully thank that blue corduroy jacket for the person it helped shape your child into ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ GOLD-RATED ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰

Isabelle Hess, Hailey Littlemeyer, and Bryce Hartley have been officially named Gold-Rated Officers by the Ohio FFA Association!

Hailey has worked very hard to keep records of financial transactions, dues, assets, and liabilities. Isabelle has diligently kept a record of membership attendance and roll, Officers, committees, our constitution and bylaws, tracked correspondence, made agends and kept accurate minutes for every chapter, committee, and officer meeting. Bryce has managed the chapter social media pages throughout the year, sent countless articles to the Morrow County Sentinel, and created the 2025-2026 Chapter Scrapbook.

Each officer created and submitted a book containing all the necessary information to be evaluated by Ohio FFA. All 3 of these officers have received a Gold-Rating from the Ohio FFA!

Catch these officers on stage at the Ohio FFA State Convention where they will be recognized for this achievement.

Great job to Hailey, Isabelle, Bryce, and their assistants for amazing record keeping, flawless submissions, and maintaning all the reports. Cardington is proud!

Carnation Sale! ๐Ÿ’

The Carnation Sale was a week-long activity completed Feburary 9th-13th. Order forms were distributed to the CLHS and CLMS where students could order single carnations or bouquets.

Notably around Valentine's Day, the floral industry is a fast-paced, exciting work environment. Throughout the Animal and Plant Science horticulture/business unit, Sophomore FFA Members learned how to recieve/sort orders, cut stems, fluff petals, process flowers, and create marketable bouquet wraps. The Carnation Sale gave members a first hand experience of the floral industry while simultaneously allowing CLHS and MS students to spread care and love with the flowers.

This event brightened the school building one flower at a time and spread joy near Valentine's Day!
