The Flint Hills Wellness Coalition was formed in April of 2011. It was created to work cooperatively with citizens and groups throughout the City of Manhattan and Riley County to develop community norms that support healthy behaviors and environments. This group is one of twelve other communities in Kansas funded through the Kansas Health Foundation to initiate work in the area of access to health

y foods. The vision of the coalition is to create a healthier community for our residents through policy, system, environmental, and personal change.

Flint Hills Wellness Coalition is participating in Grow Green Match Day again this year. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide direct support to Flint Hills Community Care Team clients; support our Dementia Friendly Manhattan training; continue to advocate for Health in All Policies in the community; and much, much more.

FHWC doesn't mount an intense media blitz during this time. We quite simply ask you to donate what you can to support our efforts to address health equity in Manhattan/Riley County.

Donates from $25 to $1,000 are matched 50%. A lot of small donations can add up to make a big impact for us. Please donate what you can.

The Flint Hills Community Care Team (FHCCT) provides "wrap-around" support for our most vulnerable neighbors facing housing insecurity and mental health barriers. Our goal for this year’s Crystal Gala is to raise $60,000 to fund the Care Team Coordinator—the essential "glue" that keeps this coalition running efficiently.
