SkighHy Inc.

SkighHy Inc. Sparking the tough conversations that promote change 🖤 Those growing pains should not define us. We are all made better by the people we surround ourselves with.

Our goal at SkighHy is to create a community of people who know they have something special to share with the world - despite what is happening around us or what has happened to us. We are human, and sometimes that means that we will struggle insurmountably as we grow because of our ability to feel deep emotion. Instead, they should drive us to learn the hard lessons and face our deepest fears. I

believe there is nothing more meaningful to life than conversation and authentic human connection. When we put together our talents, experiences, and resources we become a driving force for systematic change. That is why I’m creating SkighHy Inc. - I want to create a safe space for humanity to flourish. If you have an idea to share, a story to tell, or a talent to utilize then please contact me. I would love to connect with you as we continue to grow into the people we were meant to always be.

Hard conversations are uncomfortable but necessary.
Too many girls are sxxualized long before they’re old enough to understand what’s happening. If we actually care about protecting women, we have to start by protecting girls. Awareness isn’t an attack on men it’s a call for accountability and safer spaces for everyone.✌🏻💯✨

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

As of September, Keturah and I (Skyler) have officially stepped away from SkighHy Support Group to move forward with larger projects and community outreach. We are incredibly proud of what we helped build — a safe space where survivors of sexual abuse could find support, connection, and understanding.

With recent events, we felt called to step into new avenues of advocacy and education, and we’re excited to announce that even bigger things are coming soon.

In the meantime, the support group is still active and is now peer-led by two amazing members of our community: Rei and Shelby. There is truly no one better to carry this mission forward, and we’re confident the group will continue to grow into something powerful and meaningful under their leadership.

If you have questions or would like to get involved, please reach out to:
Rei: 913-909-0459
Shelby: 913-221-1645

As a reminder, group is open to anyone who has personally experienced sexual abuse — as a child or adult.

Meetings are currently weekly; for times and location, please contact either peer leader directly.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their stories and healing. More is coming. 🤍

This Weeks Topic: Self-Love

Why talk about self-love? Because for trauma survivors, it’s more than a buzzword—it’s survival. Trauma can leave us believing we’re unworthy, broken, or undeserving of care. But learning to love ourselves helps rewrite that story.

When we practice self-love:
• We begin to heal the parts of us that were hurt.
• We reclaim our voice and our power.
• We show ourselves the compassion we may not have received in the past.

Loving ourselves isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. It’s the foundation for building healthier relationships, setting boundaries, and moving forward with hope.

Join us this evening as we explore what self-love really means, and how to nurture it in everyday life.
