🎉🐾 TWO YEARS. 3,000 PETS. ONE INCREDIBLE MILESTONE! 🐾🎉
Today marks two years since AWARE NH opened the doors to our nonprofit spay/neuter clinic in Hooksett, NH — and we're taking a moment to celebrate just how far we've come! 💙
In just two years, 3,000 cats and dogs have been spayed or neutered through our clinic!
That's thousands of cats and dogs receiving affordable, high quality spay/neuter care, thousands of steps toward preventing unwanted litters, and thousands of opportunities to make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.
When we opened our doors two years ago, we knew there was a tremendous need for affordable spay/neuter services in New Hampshire. We believed we could make a difference, but like any new venture, we wondered — will this work?
Two years later, we know the answer. And we couldn't be more grateful.
One thing we've been committed to since day one is proving that:
LOW COST DOES NOT MEAN LOW CARE.
Affordable veterinary care should never mean compromising on quality, safety, or compassion. Every animal who comes through our doors deserves exceptional care, regardless of what their family can afford.
And that commitment is only possible because of the exceptional veterinary professionals and dedicated support team who believe in our mission.
We are incredibly fortunate to work with a team of highly skilled veterinarians, many with extensive surgical experience, alongside dedicated veterinary technicians who bring tremendous expertise, compassion, and professionalism to every clinic.
A very special thank you to our Medical Director, Dr. Cassie, whose leadership, experience, and dedication have been instrumental in making our clinic what it is today.
We are also incredibly grateful for our dedicated reception and office team, whose hard work, organization, and compassion help keep every clinic day running smoothly. From scheduling appointments to welcoming pet owners and managing the many details behind the scenes, their contributions are an important part of our success. 💙
Together, our entire team brings so much more than professional skills and experience. They bring genuine compassion, attention to detail, and a shared commitment to providing every patient and family with the highest level of care. Having such a talented and dedicated team is something we are tremendously proud of, and we never take it for granted.
Every single animal who comes through our doors matters. We never cut corners when it comes to pain management, patient monitoring, or comfort. Our patients receive warm blankets, dedicated warming stations to help maintain their body temperature, and attentive care throughout recovery. We also provide thorough discharge instructions and access to an after hours contact number if families have concerns.
And something we're especially proud of? On our dog surgery days, we have comfort volunteers who come in for the sole purpose of cuddling and comforting dogs as they recover from surgery! 🐶
Sometimes a little extra love, a gentle touch, and someone sitting by their side can make all the difference.
Because affordable veterinary care should still be exceptional, compassionate care.
Over these two years, we've also expanded our services to include monthly low cost vaccine and microchip clinics, helping even more families keep their pets healthy and protected.
At the heart of our mission is a simple belief: pets belong with the families who love them. By making essential veterinary care more affordable and accessible, we're helping families care for their pets, preventing unwanted litters, and reducing the number of animals entering already overwhelmed shelters.
We're also incredibly grateful for the many rescue organizations we work alongside. By offering discounted spay/neuter services, we're helping these groups stretch their limited resources, prepare more animals for adoption, and continue their lifesaving work.
And to the thousands of pet owners and rescue organizations who have trusted us with their cats and dogs — thank you. We know how much these animals mean to you, and we never take that trust for granted.
Two years ago, this clinic was an idea, a dream, and a whole lot of hope.
Today, it's nearly 3,000 spay/neuter surgeries, an incredible team of veterinary professionals and support staff, thousands of animals helped, and a nonprofit clinic making a difference every single day.
And we're not stopping here!
Our next chapter is already underway as we work toward opening our affordable pet urgent care center in early 2027, expanding our mission to help even more pets and the people who love them.
We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished in these first two years, but even more grateful for the people who made it possible.
