Yesterday, 18 cats were spayed and neutered—what an amazing way to end the week! 🐾

It was a very long day, and we are incredibly grateful for our dedicated team:

AWARE NH holds a low cost vaccination and microchip clinic on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm.

💉 Rabies vaccine: $10
💉 Distemper vaccine: $10
🐾 Microchip: $20

No appointment is needed—walk-ins only!

Please note: Clinics are not held when the first Saturday falls on a holiday weekend. There will be no clinic in September.

📅 Our next clinic is Saturday, October 3rd.

AWARE NH was created to make essential pet care more affordable, keep pets healthy, and help families keep the animals they love at home. These clinics are intended for families who may otherwise struggle to afford veterinary care. They are not for breeders or anyone profiting from their animals.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today, we celebrate the loyal companions, joyful greeters, expert snugglers, and beloved family members who make our lives better every day.

Here are just a few of the wonderful dogs AWARE NH has had the privilege of spaying and neutering throughout the year. We’re proud to help dogs across New Hampshire receive affordable care while remaining with the people who love them.

🐾 Why AWARE NH’s Last Litter Program Matters 🐾

Every day, we see kittens being given away on free pages, community groups, and social media. When we reach out and offer our Last Litter Program, we do it because we see an opportunity to help that entire feline family—and prevent another litter from being born.

Shelters and rescues throughout New Hampshire and beyond are overwhelmed. There simply are not enough homes for the number of cats and kittens being born each year. Prevention is one of the most important ways we can create lasting change.

That’s why AWARE NH created our Last Litter Program.

If your cat has kittens, we can help:

🐱 Take the kittens into our adoption program and find them loving homes
🐱 Spay the mother cat completely FREE and return her to your home
🐱 Neuter the father cat completely FREE and return him to your home
🐱 Spay or neuter every kitten before they are adopted

When the kittens are fixed—and mom and dad are fixed for free—the cycle stops.

This program is about prevention, compassion, and helping pet owners. There is no judgment. Sometimes people simply need access to resources, and we want to help.

If you see kittens being given away or know someone whose cat has had a litter, please tell them about our program and encourage them to reach out.

🐾 Ten Cats, One Amazing Day!

Ten cats were spayed and neutered today! A huge thank you to Dr. Kristi, vet techs Julie and Jill, Mandy in the office, and our junior volunteers Ian and Beau for helping make today’s clinic a success.

We’re also grateful to the responsible pet owners who chose to spay and neuter their cats. Together, we’re making a difference—one pet at a time! ❤️🐱

🐾 A Special Shoutout to Colby! 🐾

In our post about Friday’s clinic, we forgot to recognize one very special helper—our junior volunteer, Colby!

Colby is our vet tech Kristen’s son, and he absolutely loves spending time at AWARE NH. Every time he leaves, he asks his mom when he can come back again. ❤️

We love having Colby at the clinic and truly appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to help. Here are a few pictures of our wonderful junior volunteer in action! 🐾

We are so happy to share that Miley and Tiramisu have been adopted together by one of our wonderful comfort volunteers! ❤️
