🏡 A House Is Built With More Than Just Lumber & Nails. 💙🔨

It’s built with helping hands, generous hearts, and a community that believes everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.

Every volunteer who picks up a hammer, every business that lends a hand, and every person who supports our mission helps us get one step closer to making that dream a reality. 💚

The best part? You don't need construction experience to make a difference. Just a willingness to show up and help!

💬 We want to know: Have you ever volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, or is it something you'd love to try?

👇 Tell us in the comments! We'd love to hear from you.

Together, we're not just building houses. We're building hope, right here in the North Country. 🏠❤️

🏠🔨 THE WALLS ARE GOING UP!🙌

Things are really starting to take shape at **Project 18, located at 88 Mill Street in Burke!**

Our hardworking volunteers have been busy building walls and getting them stood up, bringing us another exciting step closer to turning this construction site into a HOME! ❤️

There's something pretty special about watching a house come together, especially when it's built with the helping hands of people right here in our North Country community.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers for giving their time, energy, and muscle to make this happen! 💪 Every board nailed and every wall raised brings us one step closer to making a difference for a local family.

One wall at a time. One home at a time. One stronger community.🏡💚

Stay tuned as we continue to share the progress of Project 18!

🏡 A home is more than four walls. It’s a place to feel safe, build memories, and put down roots.

At North Country Habitat for Humanity, every project is powered by people who believe stronger homes help create stronger communities.

Whether someone volunteers their time, donates materials, supports our ReStore, or simply helps spread the word, every contribution becomes part of something bigger. 💙🔨

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Habitat and the families we serve throughout the North Country.

Together, we’re helping build a community where more families have a place to call home.

🍂 **Fall reminds us just how much “home” matters.** 🏡

As the temperatures drop and the leaves begin to change, home becomes the place we gather, stay warm, and make memories.

At North Country Habitat for Humanity, we believe everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Every volunteer, donation, and helping hand brings us one step closer to building stronger homes and stronger communities right here in the North Country.

This season, consider giving a little time, lending a hand, or helping spread the word. 💛🔨

Because there’s nothing quite like coming home. 🍁

On September 11, 2001, millions of people wanted the same thing:

To know the people they loved were safe.

To hear a familiar voice on the other end of the phone.

To make it home.

Today, as an organization built around the meaning of home, we think about that a little differently.

A home is more than walls, windows, and a roof. It is the place where someone is waiting for you. Where ordinary mornings happen. Where families gather around the table. Where you expect the people you love to walk back through the door.

For thousands of families, September 11 changed the meaning of home forever.

Twenty-five years later, we remember those who never made it back to theirs, the people who ran toward danger to help strangers, and the families who have carried their absence through every ordinary day since.

Today, hold your people a little closer.

Because sometimes the most extraordinary thing in the world is simply making it home. 🇺🇸

September 11, 2001 — Never Forgotten.

🏠 **50 YEARS AGO, AN IDEA BECAME A MOVEMENT.**

In 1976, Habitat for Humanity was officially founded with a simple but powerful idea: people in need of affordable housing would work **side by side with volunteers** to help build a place to call home.

But the story actually started even earlier.

🌱 At Koinonia Farm in Georgia, the idea of **“partnership housing”** took root. Instead of simply giving someone a house, future homeowners would become part of the process, helping build their own homes and the homes of others.

🔨 Neighbors helping neighbors.
🪚 Volunteers working alongside future homeowners.
🏡 One home helping make the next home possible.

That idea grew far beyond Georgia and became Habitat for Humanity.

Now, 50 years later, the tools may have changed, but the heart of the mission hasn’t.

Right here in the North Country, that same idea continues every time volunteers, donors and homeowners come together to build something bigger than four walls.
