During tonight’s meeting, Oct 7th, Joseph Beck was presented with a certificate. He was on duty as Life Guard at the Malone Rec Park. While on duty he noticed a 2 year old girl face down in the pool. He pulled her from the pool and started CPR until the Rescue Squad arrived. She was then transported to the hospital. Because of Beck’s quick and decisive actions this young girl is alive and well. The American Legion is proud to be able to recognize him for his actions. In the photo from the left is Kevin St Hilaire, Rec Park Supervisor, Brian Trombley Post Commander, and Joseph Beck
