Hollywood Heritage was extremely sad to learn that Casey LaLonde passed away last Friday. He was a relatively new friend, who very quickly made it his business to explore and appreciate all that Hollywood Heritage has to offer - from the Museum to Hollywood preservation issues. He was forever supportive and we were over the moon each time he came to present "Home Movie Nights" featuring his grandmother Joan Crawford at the Museum! His work getting LETTY LYNTON out of the archive and back on screens after 90 years, was just the beginning of his planned Hollywood history based projects. He was quite proud of this achievement because it meant giving this great gift to his grandmother's fans. When we screen LETTY LYNTON on July 25 he will definitely be there in spirit.

Forever bionic on screen and in real life.
Thank you for all you do

People have been asking why I chose the episode “On the Run” to be part of the 50th anniversary celebration.

It’s not because it’s my favorite; I don’t really have just one. I have a few favorites for different reasons.“On the Run” is sentimental. It was the very last episode of the series, and I was able to cast my dear friend Linda Wiser as Sarah. We were both so happy about that.

It’s also special because what you see Jaime going through — being very tired and wanting a mental break — was much of what I was experiencing in my own life at the time. The hours were long, and the work was physically demanding. I had never been an athlete before taking on this role, unlike Lee, who was a serious athlete before becoming a full-time actor.

Don’t get me wrong, doing a TV series is fun. But it’s also work. And like any business, all work and no play is no good. You can lose track of who you are, what you like, what nourishes you, and what you truly need in the bigger picture of your own life.

Jaime coming to realize what she needed and wanted reflected what I was working on in my own life, creating balance.

When I was considering which script to share for the 50th anniversary, the choice was an easy one. -L🌷
