OUR PROGRAMS and EVENTS
Safety Harbor Kids ongoing programs in the areas of College, Career, the Arts and Personal Growth are designed to help children fill the gap between institutional living and becoming productive members of society. Essentially, we help children learn the tools of life helping them achieve their personal goals while building an enduring support system through philanthropy, c
ommunity spirit and family values. Through community events and activities, we create an environment where children can learn and grow while having fun. We introduce charity minded community members and qualified volunteers to the children in an atmosphere of teaching, learning, kindness and giving. We practice goal development and personal growth and the children have the opportunity to meet a mentor, learn about a trade or profession, or practice art including music, painting, singing and creative dramatics. We practice leadership, self-respect, regard for others and our environment, and the power of giving while learning music, art and a trade or profession. Safety Harbor Kids Personal Enrichment programs are designed to educate children helping them discover, develop and refine their personal virtues in the areas of academics, career, the Arts and personal growth. Our Personal Enrichment Programs include:

Caring community members have the immensely rewarding opportunity to sponsor one or more of our gracious children. Sponsorship can be financial only or financial and personal. You can sponsor a child for a year to come to all of our Special Events, you can sponsor a child for just one event or you can sponsor a child for any of the above programs. Safety Harbor Kids 1000 Day Mentor Program
After passing a background check, caring community members can elect to mentor a special child. These children are in dire need of quality time. Most have no family and no visitors – ever. It is really sad when just the presence of another human being can create such joy and there is no one. Just a little time, some talk and a smile would brighten their world and give them hope. Please consider mentoring one of our gracious, polite and well mannered children. Safety Harbor Kids Enrichment Events are designed to give our children hope, happiness and support through the power of giving. We invite caring community members to these special events to share the experience while the children learn and get hands on experience with goal development, introduction to a trade or career, music, art, social skills and personal growth while having fun. Our Special Events include:

Just like when you were a kid, sitting by the fire singing Christmas carols, decorating the tree, hot cocoa, eggnog and cookies. Supporting our Career, College and the Arts development programs, we treat our children to singing and music lessons, lithograph and woodcrafts. With “Living life by a Code” as the theme, the children are encouraged to believe they can accomplish their dreams if they believe in themselves and work hard. We also fund our College Scholarship program at this event giving the children visible means for them to go to school. We then have a nice holiday meal with all the trimmings while practicing our etiquette and manners. Gifts are given to all the children with stockings full of goodies.
