A Chance for Children Foundation is proud to continue supporting the annual Father-Daughter Dance at Grape Street Elementary School — a beautiful evening filled with smiles, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. For many of the girls, the excitement begins long before the dance itself — getting ready together, doing hair, makeup, and nails, choosing dresses, and feeling special for their big night. We are incredibly proud of the fathers and father figures who show up year after year to make these moments meaningful. And we are especially grateful to the LAPD officers (special shout out to Jesse Ruiz) and Pastor Jose and the community members who step in as surrogate dads, reminding every little girl that she is valued, celebrated, and worthy of love and attention. And thank you to Jennifer Alvarado for her dedication and time in giving back to the community and helping make the night special. It truly takes a village, and nights like this show the power of community, connection, and simply being present.

A Chance for Children Foundation was honored to sponsor a special luncheon at Holmes Avenue Elementary School celebrating students who achieved perfect attendance.

We believe showing up matters — and that helping a child get to school every day is truly a partnership between students, parents, and caregivers. This luncheon was about more than attendance… it was about celebrating commitment, encouragement, consistency, and the bond between parent and child that helps make success possible.

We are so proud of these students for their dedication and grateful to the families who support them every single day. Together, we are helping build strong habits, confidence, and brighter futures — one school day at a time.
