A BIG thank you to all our garden gang volunteers who have helped this summer with all the tasks required to keep the gardens growing ! ❤️ We’re still harvesting beautiful veggies and we’ve planted our fall starters of lettuce, cabbage, brussel sprouts and collard greens. We’re dedicated to work thru the fall season to help feed the food insecure in our community 🌻

Another great harvest and a new addition to the gardens! Once again, these beautiful veggies were harvested by our hard working garden gang and delivered to help feed the food insecure in our community. The beautiful bench was handmade and donated to the gardens by a talented friend of one of our volunteers. Thank you Ron, it’s beautiful! 🌻

Our total harvest so far this season is over 1,000 pounds!!! Great job Garden Gang!!! We’ve worked hard to help feed the food insecure in our community and we have more work to do. We’re already planning our fall crop so we’ll be busy for a few more months! 🌻

We received a donation of bruised tomatoes and wilted cabbage which we “sliced & diced” and placed in our compost bins. It’s naturally cooking and will become our wonderful rich compost. 🌻

Lots and lots of potatoes - 335 pounds! Plus all the other veggies we harvested! We had fun digging the potatoes, you never know where you’re going to hit a huge batch underground. All the produce was delivered to the food insecure in our community via our partners at Maggie Valley UMC (Shepherd’s Table and food pantry), Friendship House @ Waynesville UMC and Second Season Neighborhood Pantry in Waynesville. Thank you volunteers!!! 🌻

HUGE harvest! 335 pounds of just potatoes! With all the rain we had to harvest the potatoes a little early but it was worth it. Our volunteers had a great time digging them, it’s almost like an Easter Egg hunt! We love to have fun!

Great volunteers do great things! Another big harvest for the food insecure in our community. We planted some “rainbow carrots” this season and they turned out very colorful! We finished our little shed renovation by spreading mulch around the perimeter. Great work! 🌻
