👉Come join us at First Christian Church, Madisonville, Ky for a training/continuing education day, September 29th, 10am-2pm. (Lunch Provided)🍔🍟🍕

👉A volunteer from the Alzheimer's Association will be coming to present a session on "Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors" and "Communicating with those living with Dementia".

👉This will be a great refresher for our volunteers and anyone else who is struggling or being proactive.💜

🥳Happy Birthday, Tina and Honey Bee Day!!🐝

We celebrated our sweet lady today with balloons, cards, and cheese pizza!🍕 We all agree Tina has the BEST LAUGH.💜

Beekeeper, Mark Foster, came and gave a great presentation about all things bees! He showed us how to scrape the wax off of the comb and then spin it in a contraption that slings the honey out. Did you know a gallon of honey weighs 12-15 pounds? 🤯

We met a new furry friend today, Buddy, who is such a cutie! Monsters were created during art with the prek kids. The group that came today start kindergarten TOMORROW! We will sure miss them. Emma's dad, Mike, came and spoke to us about growing up on top of a mountain in Colorado. Their school bus had a snow plow on the front! We discussed lots of mountain trivia. Delicious lunch (Thanks, Tim!) followed by volleyball. Great day to be at Friend's Place Respite Care!

Thank you to everyone who supported Friend's Place Respite Care and First Christian Church Preschool during our summer art show at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts! The silent auction raised over $300 that goes back into the collaborative art program between our 2 groups. Older generations + younger generations + art = MAGIC!!🖌🥰
