Congratulations to Amanda Morrow, who earned Reserve Grand Champion, with her Gelbvieh at the Kentucky State Fair! Amanda got her start showing in 4-H as a Cloverbud, and has been showing for over 25 years! She is an asset to Hopkins County 4-H, through club volunteering, being a camp leader, and she is active on the 4-H council. Amanda is a lifelong 4-H member and we are 🍀 lucky 🍀 to have her! Congratulations Amanda!

Registration is now open for Camp Jekyll!

Camp Jekyll provides youth with hands-on experiences that go beyond the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about marine life, coastal ecosystems, conservation, and the unique environment of the Georgia coast while making memories and building friendships along the way.

Another Kentucky State Fair livestock show shout out—this time to Kaden Brown and Hadleigh Evans! Hadleigh got a second place with her Gelbvieh Calf and a 5th place with her Angus Heifer.
Kaden got 4th place with his Angus Heifer and 5th place with another Angus Heifer. We look forward to cheering them on at the next open show this Saturday as the state fair shows continue!

Big things ahead for Maddy Oldham!

We’re excited to announce that Maddy has been selected to serve on the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council!

Through this opportunity, Maddy will join 4-H teens from across the Commonwealth to develop her leadership skills, share her voice, and help represent Hopkins County and Western Kentucky at the state level.

We know Maddy will make Hopkins County 4-H proud, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes during her time on State Teen Council!

Congratulations to Kelcie Greer, one of our outstanding Hopkins County 4-H Teens, who has been selected to serve on the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council!

Kelcie will represent Hopkins County and Western Kentucky while serving as an ambassador for 4-H at the state level.

We are incredibly proud of Kelcie and excited to see her continue to grow as a leader and represent Hopkins County 4-H across the Commonwealth!

A big shout out to Jillian Young who is at the state fair this week. Here she is today with her Reserve Grand Champion Hereford breeding gilt. What an accomplishment! She advances to the Supreme Drive Thursday night with her Hereford. Jillian also won 3rd overall with a Berkshire breeding gilt. Hopkins County 4-H is proud to call Jillian one of our own!
