Today, we pause to remember the pets who filled our lives with unconditional love, comfort, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Though their time with us is never long enough, the bond we share with them lasts forever.

Who is this beautiful Golden Retriever gracing our Czar's Promise 2026 Inspiring Hope Walk Poster?

🐾Meet Nala! 🐾

Nala is an almost 4-year-old Golden Retriever, with her fourth birthday coming up on October 16. She was rehomed at age two due to severe environmental allergies, but she has never let that slow her down. As long as her adventures are followed by her regular medicated baths, Nala loves exploring the world on long walks and outdoor adventures. Nala enthusiastically greets anyone willing to stop and say hello, and she has a special soft spot for children who are the perfect height for delivering top-notch head scratches. When she's not charming strangers into petting her, Nala enjoys accompanying her mom, Sara to work at Deer Grove Veterinary Clinic, and keeping a watchful eye on the daily hustle and bustle of the clinic from the comfort of her office.

Nala, THANK YOU for allowing Czar's Promise to share your joyful smile as an ambassador for our 2026 Inspiring Hope Walk. Nala and her mom Sara hope you can join them on Sunday, October 11 at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg! ❤

🐾❤️ Happy National Dog Day! ❤️🐾

Today, we celebrate the dogs who fill our lives with love, laughter, and endless joy...including the brave cancer-fighting heroes who inspire us every day.

Celebrate your dog today! Give them an extra belly rub, share their silliest photo, give them an extra tasty treat, take an extra-long walk, or simply remind them how loved they are. 🐾❤️

🎊All the best wishes to VINNY! 🎊

The smile in this photo says it all! Handsome black labrador Vinny, is joined by Dr. MacKenzie Pellin, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), DACVR (Radiation Oncology), and clinical faculty member at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison's School of Veterinary Medicine.

Recently, Dr. Pellin met with Vinny and his family to talk further about Vinny next steps in his diagnosis of thymic carcinoma, which is a very rare cancer in canines. Vinny was originally diagnosed 2 years ago, had a 9 # tumor surgically removed from his chest, and received chemotherapy treatment to keep the tumor from recurring. Vinny has been living his very best life every step of the way!

Vinny's tumor in his chest has returned, albeit a fraction of it's original size. After consulting with Vinny's family, Dr. Pellin is recommending (10) rounds of radiation therapy to shrink the tumor and contain the spread.

Cancer treatment is always a family affair, and Vinny's first radiation treatment began on Monday, August 24. Please join Czar's Promise is wishing Vinny ALL the very best with each treatment and follow up aftercare.

This energetic, bouncy, happy boy is VERY loved by his family. Czar's Promise sends all of our best to them as they walk every paw and step with Vinny in his care. ❤ You got this Vinny! ❤

Well… our website decided to take a little walk of its own over the last couple of days. 🐾😂

There have been some issues on our website with the registration for the Czar's Promise Inspiring Hope Walk over the last couple of days. We are SO sorry for the frustration and inconvenience!
