Madison Media Professionals is awarding a $1,000 Scholarship this fall and the deadline to apply is fast approaching!

If you're enrolled at a Wisconsin college or university and pursuing a career in media communications, we want to hear from you. The deadline is May 31st, and the recipient will be recognized at the WAVE Awards Show on November 12th.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪

Our 𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 went to 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘀 for 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗻.

Perfect Run is 1 of a 3-part collection called Rodeo and it tells the story of shame through the lens of a rodeo. Even after the best ride, shame often whispers that we aren’t enough. We may find ourselves chasing perfection, only to be met with disappointment and self-doubt. The film invites us to ask what our worth is truly tied to and leads us toward a deeper truth: that God never asked us to win, only to come just as we are. If shame has ever left you feeling unworthy, Perfect Run is for you. Wonderhunt staged a rodeo for this shoot in Temecula, CA. and Nathan was the camera operator for all three films and was the editor and colorist for Perfect Run. Tagline: Shame may take the reins, but it doesn't have to steer your story.

Congratulations to Bonnie Willison, Wisconsin Sea Grant on receiving a 𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for Spring fish harvest with the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin. Wisconsin Sea Grant partners with the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin to highlight the importance of the spring fish harvest to the tribal nation. Tribal nations have faced a lot of harmful misinformation about spearfishing. The goal of this video was to help dispel misinformation by showing the cultural values behind spearfishing and by showing that spearfishing quotas are science-based. This video was directed, shot, and edited by Bonnie Willison, a solo filmmaker who works for Wisconsin Sea Grant.

This is a broadcast/web promo for public television for the hilarious BBC Series. The Judge who selected this as a winner was so engaged that she searched out and watched the entire series!
