What did we tell you last weekend about cats and kittens needing rescue? Friday, Sam, one of our volunteers, went down to Kincheloe Clinic in Fredericksburg to pick up our TNR's. A woman in the parking lot waved her down, begging her to take a mom and kittens. The kittens were in a grocery bag and mom was in the car. Of course Sam took the bag with the kittens, but when the woman opened the car door - momma jumped out. Cut to the chase - Spotsylvania shelter volunteers were able to trap mom and kindly brought her to Culpeper where she has been reunited with her 6 kittens. Hooray for Samantha!💕🐈

Porsche checking her list before taking off to Kincheloe Clinic with 20 cats in carriers and traps. Sam putting tags on the carriers and our new volunteer Danny making sure no one is left in the garage where they spent the night. Teresa Aylor, is helping out at Mobile Vet Solutions where 17 clients from Madison and Greene Counties will take their domestic and colony cats for spay/neuter and vaccines today. I haven’t been able to feed my colony cats since the end of January due to a leg injury. The nice people at Graves’ Market have been feeding them for me. A friend looked in on them today, and sent me this photo. Pictured are Abbey and Axel

Weekends are always busy at MAD Cats - a beautiful momma and her 5 kittens about 2 weeks + came to stay with us yesterday. Mom isn't quite sure - but she will soon settle into the Queen Pen ***** hospitality suite.
