The NASIG Autumn 2026 Call for Proposals is Open!

Join us online October 6–8, 2026 for NASIG Autumn — and consider sharing your knowledge as a speaker!

We're looking for short (7 min), medium (15 min), and long (30 min) sessions on topics like AI and emerging tools, electronic resources & serials, collection development, career growth, accessibility, and more. Demonstrations are a great fit for this virtual format!

Whether you're brand new to libraries, still working on your MLIS, or a longtime pro, we want to hear about your work.

Call for Volunteers: Core Competencies for Electronic Resources Librarians Revision Task Force

NASIG is seeking volunteers for a short-term task force to revise the Core Competencies for Electronic Resources Librarians, originally published in 2013. This is an opportunity to help update the competencies to reflect current practices, emerging technologies, and tthe changing roles of e-resources professionals.

Professionals from all library types, career stages, and areas of expertise are encouraged to apply. Previous competency-development experience is not required

Day 3 wrapped up with thought-provoking sessions on accessibility, cataloging, and the changing scholarly landscape, a timely and inspiring Vision Session from Mondo Vaden on information and intersectionality, a new incoming president in Willa Liburd, and the completion of our beloved conference jigsaw puzzle.
