In June, members of Leadership Wisconsin's Community Leadership 2.0 pilot cohort gathered in Green Bay to continue their journey — diving deep into systems leadership, collaboration, and the realities of early care and education in Wisconsin.

Over the course of 36 hours together, this incredible group explored innovative models, connected with bold local leaders, and stretched their own leadership skills through conversation, reflection, and action.

From touring a thriving child care center to mapping sphere's of influence, from examining the “story behind the numbers” to imagining new collaborations — the learning was rich, the conversations were honest, and the inspiration was real.

Huge thanks to the local leaders who welcomed us, shared their time and insights, and continue to move this work forward — including Bridget O’Connor, O'Connor Connective; Missy Schmelling, Encompass Early Education and Care; Matt Rentmeester, Greenbay Chamber; Sachin Shivaram, Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry and NEW North Regional Economic Development Board; Jamie Brassfield, Family and Child Care Resources; Suzanne Brault, Brault Consulting and Basic Needs Giving Partnership; and Sarah Inman, Brown County United Way for sharing your time and leadership with us.

Your insights continue to fuel the cohort’s learning and action.

This work is personal. It’s complex. And it’s exactly the kind of challenge this cohort is ready to lead through.

We’re grateful for the spark Green Bay gave us — and excited for what’s next. 💡🧠🌱
