The government has the resources. Our elected officials make the choices.
They find money for policing, punishment, and systems that harm our communities.
While our people are left fighting for food, housing, health, and basic needs.
So, we take care of each other.
On September 1, we fed over 250 households across Dane County.
Not because our communities should have to fill the gaps left by the state, but because we refuse to let our people go without.
We keep us fed.
We keep us safe.
We keep us alive.
This is community care.
This is community power.
Imagine what our communities could build if public resources were actually invested in our people.
Imagine if we had the power and control to determine for ourselves and community.
This is what community control looks like.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers: Ms Gail Adams, Ms Beverly Moore, Ms Euna Whitehead, Ms Rose Johnson-Brown, Timeya Smith, Ma Yang, Niam Tais Ka Lor, and Freedom Youth Squad, who helped us keep our community safe and fed during our Community Cuisine Meal Kit Distribution on September 1, 2026!
