Valley Children’s Hospital has one sole purpose: to care for kids. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we respond to children with pediatric emergencies, chronic diseases and acute injuries. When you donate to Valley Children's, your investment is helping to fund life-saving technology, advance clinical services, provide a safety net for children with little or no private medical insurance and create a healing environment designed to enrich the experience of patients and their families.

On September 19, Kiwanis Division 5 hosted the 5th annual “Kiwanis River Run” at George’s River Ranch in Fresno. With the support of over 120 runners, generous sponsors and the incredible dedication of our Children's Miracle Network partner Kiwanis, the event raised over $10,000 in benefit of Valley Children's Hospital Pediatric Trauma Center and Injury Prevention Program. We also want to thank Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund for supplementing that amount by presenting a $20,000 grant. Over the years, Kiwanis’ support has been instrumental in the fight against unintentional injury. The funds received have been used to purchase vital equipment for community events, safety devices and critical education to enhance the care of trauma patients.

More than 30 years after receiving care at Valley Children’s, Tamarie Laine Turner’s legacy continues to make a difference. In her memory, her husband, David Turner, made a $6,000 gift supporting Oncology and the Children’s Fund. During a recent visit to Valley Children’s, David and Tamarie’s mother, Sharleene Turner, toured the hospital and reunited with Jeffrey Clem, a nurse whose kindness left a lasting impact on their family decades ago.💙

Through their generosity, Tamarie’s story will continue to bring hope and healing to children and families for years to come.

At Valley Children's, caring for patients means more than treating an illness. It means supporting children and families through some of life's toughest moments 💙

When child life specialist Ciera Trevino met incoming Fresno State freshman and Fresno State Football player Cooper Willoughby, it was clear how much the game meant to him. After emergency surgery at Valley Children's to relieve brain swelling, Cooper faced the difficult news that he would be unable to play football this fall while focusing on his recovery. To lift his spirits, Ciera and our teams put together a special surprise, including Fresno State, Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints gear, along with a personalized video message from Valley Children's Ambassador and former Fresno State and NFL quarterback Derek Carr. And the best part? The message came right in time for Cooper's birthday! We cannot thank Derek enough for his help in creating this special moment for Cooper 🦒🏈
