Valley Children’s Hospital has one sole purpose: to care for kids. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we respond to children with pediatric emergencies, chronic diseases and acute injuries. Donors support Valley Children’s in many meaningful ways. Some gifts advance patient care. Some fund programs and services. Others help create spaces that bring comfort, inspiration and hope to children and families during their time at the hospital.

This captivating piece by artist Tomas, located just outside the Nephrology Clinic at Valley Children’s Hospital, reflects a special part of our community’s history. Commissioned by Scorch and Trica Coffman, whose “Magic Moments” hot air balloon delighted children and families throughout the San Joaquin Valley and often landed at Valley Children’s, the artwork symbolizes joy, connection and wonder.

We are grateful to Paleyne Coffman Peralez and Leroy B. Coffman III for their generosity and for helping ensure this meaningful piece continues to bring comfort, inspiration and hope to the patients and families we serve.

A heartfelt thank you to Gustine Elementary School and the Gustine Unified School District for once again showing their generosity through their Penny War fundraiser benefiting Valley Children’s Hospital. This year, Gustine Elementary School raised more than $1,000. This fun and meaningful competition brought together students, staff and the broader community to make a real difference for our patients and families. We are so grateful for their enthusiasm, compassion and continued commitment to supporting the children we serve.
