The 2026 All Guild Picnic brought Guild members together to celebrate another incredible year of service, philanthropy, and impact in support of Valley Children's.

From the presentation of $1,411,233 toward the Guilds' $12 million commitment to the Guilds ECMO Endowment and the Guilds Endowment, to the friendships and shared purpose that make the Guilds so special, this video captures what it means to come together for kids.

Holiday Guild is happy to have selected Jody Blosser Tejeda as their Volunteer of the Year! Jody joined Holiday Guild in 2001 and has served as Manager for the past three years and is a 25-year member of the “Saturday Girls” - working the first Saturday of the month since she became a member. Holiday Guild did the math, and that is over 350 Saturdays she has worked! Recruited by longtime Holiday Guild members - her mom and aunt - they believed Jody’s retail experience would a perfect fit as well as having the opportunity to meet new friends while supporting Valley Children’s. Jody’s retail experience has certainly shown during her years of service, which her fellow Guild members appreciate.

El Rio Reyes Guild is proud to have selected Darlee Olson as their Volunteer of the Year! Darlee is a Founding Member of the Guild, and has served as Membership Chair, Raffle Chair for the past two years’ Co****le event, and for multiple years Chaired the Decoration Committee for Bunco. Her enthusiastic energy, attention to detail and dedication to all that she does for the Guild are just a few of the reasons why El Rio Reyes has selected Darlee as their Volunteer of the Year.

The Guilds Coordinating Council gathered last week for its June meeting to connect, celebrate progress, and plan for exciting year-end activities.

Members also heard inspiring updates from Todd Suntrapak, President & CEO, David Weinert, Developer for Valley Children’s Campus Development, who shared the vision for the future retail development on Valley Children’s campus. The project represents an exciting opportunity to enhance the campus experience while creating new revenue to support the Hospital’s mission of providing exceptional care for kids.

Together, we’re building a stronger future for Valley Children’s - one that will benefit patients, families and the communities we serve. 💙

Alegria Guild is happy to have selected Monique Castro as their Volunteer of the Year! In her time as a Guild member, Monique has held many roles including Day in the Country Event Chair, Vice President and President, but even when not in an assigned position, she’s always willing to step in and help. Whether it’s planning, organizing, decorating, or stepping in wherever support is needed, she consistently goes above and beyond what is asked of her. Her can-do spirit and unwavering commitment make a lasting impact on everyone around her, and Alegria Guild is incredibly grateful for all that she does.

Tenaya Guild is happy to announce Trina Prins has their Volunteer of the Year! Trina joined Tenaya Guild in 2018 and since then has served as the committee lead for their Sip and Shop fundraisers, been a part of the annual Christmas Party Planning Committee and is currently the Guild’s Coordinating Council Director.
10 years ago, Trina’s nephew was diagnosed at Valley Children’s with non-Hodgkins Burkitt Lymphoma. He was 13 years old at the time and after a month of treatment and care at Valley Children’s he was deemed cancer free. Becoming a Guild member was Trina’s way to give back to the Hospital, and she is also a very proud mother as one of her daughters is an RN at Valley Children’s. Her Tenaya Guild members shared that she is a vital part of their Guild, consistently giving her time, talents, and energy, always with a genuine smile.

Padrinos Guild is proud to have selected Brad Smittcamp as their Volunteer of the Year! Since joining the Guild in 2015, Brad has held several roles including Clay Shoot Chair, Vice President, President, All Guild Fundraising Committee Member and the Guild is proud to be represented by him as current Guild Coordinating Council Chair. His connection to Valley Children’s is personal – in 1993 he and his dad were involved in a serious accident and ultimately, the Hospital saved his life. Since then, Brad, and his family, have remained deeply devoted to the Hospital and its mission. With gratitude to Valley Children’s, and seeing what a vital resource the Hospital is to families across the Valley, Brad sees his role as a Guild member to allow him to raise significant funds, raise awareness and giveback to the hospital that has had a great impact on our community.

Los Rancheros Guild is proud to announce Elaine Wells as their Volunteer of the Year! Elaine joined Los Rancheros Guild in 2019. In her seven years as a member, Elaine has served as Secretary, Membership Chair, Coordinating Council Director and has been a member of the Guild’s Dueling Pianos event committees. What began as an introduction to Los Rancheros Guild seven years by two of her fellow Guild members, has grown into a passionate dedication to being a Guild member. Elaine’s dedication and enthusiasm for the Guilds’ participation in the community continues to show, and Los Rancheros Guild is grateful for her leadership within the Guild and her service to the patients of families of Valley Children’s.
