Monday nights drill was a trip to the Wayne County Training facility. Members got hands on live fire training in the new fire simulator. If you would like to join our organization stop over to the firehall on a Monday night to see what it is all about.

Our second PUC Engine is on order and will be replacing our current American Lafrance Engine 38.

Monday nights drill firefighters honed their skills on ventilation. They cut holes on a roof simulator with a roof saw. Also deployed a 24 foot ladder to a building. Remember if you would like to join our fire department stop by the firehouse on a Monday night.

Congratulations to the Gananda baseball team on winning the Section V Class C1 championship over Notre Dame of Batavia. We had the privilege of giving the team an es**rt home last evening along with Macedon Center Volunteer Fire Department , Palmyra Fire Department South Macedon Fire and Rescue, Inc. , and Walworth Fire Department .

Memorial Day is to mourn, honor, and remember the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces. While we celebrate with parades and cookouts, please take a moment to reflect on the somber reason for this holiday. The sacrifice made by those who never returned so that all of us can enjoy the freedoms that we have.

Tonight's training was pump operator and hose loading. Members honed their skills running the pump utilizing hand lines and the deck gun. Hose loading consisted of reloading our pre-connected lines. Always looking to improve on our skill sets. Come out and see what it's all about.

In August of 1946, a group of forty-six men met in the basement of the West Walworth Baptist Church for the purpose of discussing how to go about creating West Walworth Volunteer Fire Department. The West Walworth Volunteer Fire Department had 96 members, 60 of whom were active firefighters. In 2026 we have 29 active members and are always looking for more. We are still 100% volunteer.
