Dare 2 Hear Vision: To train and activate individuals around the world to hear, see, and obey the will of God in their lives.

DARE2HEAR was established by Debbie Kitterman in 2007. She is an ordained Foursquare pastor, and a powerfully anointed woman of God. We believe God has called Dare 2 Hear to not only equip individuals, but to partner with churches to raise up a healthy and life-producing model of hearing God as well as provide national conferences for people who are hungry for more training and insight.

Today we pick up where we left off and finish Acts Chapter 9 and discuss chapter 10 where we see a HUGE Paradigm shift for Peter and the rest of the believers. God is breaking down barriers and changing mindsets as He reveals His Kingdom's thinking. He reveals salvation is for everyone, not just the Jews. We learn today that NO ONE is beyond God’s grace.

Also, there is a challenge for us all: Are we willing to continue with the Great Commission. An important task Jesus charged believers with, or do we have biases that hinder or prohibit us from expanding the Kingdom of God?

As we discuss Acts 9 we are reminded that the power of God can changed the hardest of hearts. I would say this chapter is definitely a plot twist only God saw coming! Not only does the enemy of the church join the Jesus team, but Saul the persecutor becomes an Apostle after being blinded by the light of Jesus.

Things were not easy for Saul after his miraculous encounter on the road to Damascus, but there is no down that the church's greatest persecutor becomes the most influential Apostle who demonstrates and writes about grace.

The church is under persecution, but we see they don’t stop spreading the good news. The persecution from Saul causes many to scatter to the very areas Jesus told them to go. God uses this horrible time of persecution to bring about His plan of spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth.

In Acts 8 we encounter 4 different men: Saul, Phillip, Simon the Sorcerer, and the Ethiopian Eu**ch. There was a lively discussion around one of these individuals, so you will have to let us know what you think. This is also the beginning of the door for the Gospel to be taken to the Gentiles, definitely a monumental moment for the church and the believers.

Acts 7 is the longest chapter in the book of Acts filled with faith, bold obedience, and martyrdom. It is not just a recitation of church history for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, but Stephen is also refuting the Jewish leaders' indictments against him. Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, delivers a fiery speech. He not only recounts the nations history, but he challenges the religious establishment ultimately ending in Stephen becoming the first christian martyr.

Acts 6 is a master class in Church Leadership amidst rapid growth. This is a very short chapter that would be easy to skip over so please don’t. Take the time to read over it yourself and glean from it as much as you can. Especially if you tend to be a leader that has to do all the things.

There is a simple formula the Apostles used to figure out what to do and we can too. They identified the problem, examined the problem, solved the problem, and released and equipped others to fix the problem.

As the church continues to grow, we see in Acts 5:17-42 that not everyone is happy about it. Miracles, signs and wonders abound, but the truth of Jesus Christ and the Gospel Message is under attack. As the story of the early church continues to unfold, the message to us today is the same. Truth matters and it can’t be stopped. There will always be those who oppose the truth and those who hold fast to the truth may experience persecution because of it.
The Apostles held to the truth they witnessed first hand and obeyed what they were asked to do, even when persecution came.

As we were recording last weeks episode, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to recording a specific episode regarding women in the church. Specifically because in Acts 5:12-16 this is the first time Luke mentions the salvation of women and men and not just mentioning the total of men being saved. Both in Acts and the Gospel of Luke, Luke has a lot to say about women and their relationship to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Again, as always, Scripture is our foundation and context matters. So we are tackling the hot button topic of Women in Ministry and Church Leadership. We look at the context of Scripture in both the Old and New Testament. We look at historical context and also translation choices of the original Greek words to get a full picture of God’s heart and intention towards women in church. We ask that you join us for this powerful conversation with an open heart and open mind as we search for God’s truth.

In Acts 4:32-5:16 we see a church that is deeply united in heart and no one, not one single person had a need. We see radical acts of generosity prompted by the Holy Spirit to care for the new emerging church - the body of believers. Then, just as quickly we see the pure heart motives and choices of one person, quickly turning into God exposing bad motives and impure intentions on the part of others.

Part of today’s discussion involves looking at the different schools of thought around what took place with Annanias and Sappihra. We look at what Scripture actually says and draw some conclusions regarding discernment, heart attitudes, and the importance of guarding our hearts.

As we continue with our We are the Church series in Acts 4:1-31, Luke continues the thoughts and story he shared in Acts chapter 3. Peter and John continue to CHOOSE BOLDNESS OVER Fear. Several hours into their conversation with those gathered around them after the miraculous healing of the lame man, the temple police show up and arrest them along with the healed man. Yet even more was added to the church.

When we partner with the Holy Spirit He brings extra everything and adds it to our ordinary making it extraordinary. Peter refused to be intimidated, fearful, and he didn’t bow his knee but chose to speak the truth of Jesus Christ as directed by the Holy Spirit, and we need to follow Peter’s lead today.

Acts 3 is a glimpse into what Luke wrote in Acts 2:43, “Everyone was filled with awe at the many signs and wonders performed by the Apostles." But it is more than that.

This chapter is about taking the time for the ONE and responding to the Spirit of God to minister salvation, healing and deliverance. It is also about the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Not only does Jesus' name carry authority, it carries power. Power to touch the lives of the physically and spiritually poor, lame and sick. Peter and John are empowered again by the power of the Holy Spirit to preach and perform a miracle which adds at least 5,000 to the church that day.
