⛳🏌️‍♂️ What a great day on the course supporting the Westshore Alliance!

This past Friday, October 30, Stairway For Heroes had the pleasure of participating in the Westshore Alliance Golf Tournament, and we didn’t play too badly either! 😎

We shot a 65, which put us within striking distance, although still 10 strokes away from the leaders! Not quite enough to bring home the trophy, but we certainly had a great time! ⛳

Of course, a great round of golf is even better when you’re surrounded by great people! Our CEO & Founder, Melvin A. Azofeifa, and Brent South had the pleasure of sharing the course with the Executive Director of the Westshore Alliance Michael Maurino and one of our newest Stairway For Heroes members, Ken Carmichael! What a fantastic foursome filled with great conversations, plenty of laughs, and a little friendly competition! 🏌️‍♂️🙌

Beyond the scorecard, days like Friday remind us why we value being part of organizations like the Westshore Alliance. It’s about building genuine relationships, supporting one another, and strengthening the community we’re proud to call home.

We’re grateful to be part of the Westshore Alliance and look forward to many more opportunities to connect, collaborate, and make a difference throughout Tampa Bay! ❤️🤍💙

💙 CarePlus Health Plans – Helping individuals navigate their healthcare options and access information about available health coverage and benefits.
💜 CareSource Military & Veterans – Dedicated to supporting military members, veterans, and their families through resources, information, and community connections.
🇺🇸 The Fire Watch – Working to prevent veteran su***de through awareness, education, and community involvement. Their mission reminds us why staying connected and looking out for one another matters.

We’re excited to welcome The Grateful Veteran to our upcoming V.E.T.S. Wellness & Community gathering on November 10th! 🤝

With a mission of “Promoting Change Through Education,” The Grateful Veteran is dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and their families through education, advocacy, and access to valuable resources.

🌿 THE GRATEFUL VETERAN WILL BE ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS FROM 5:30–9:00 PM!

This opportunity is available for:
🇺🇸 Veterans interested in cannabis education who would like to learn more and ask questions.
🇺🇸 Veterans who currently hold a Florida medical ma*****na card and would like to be evaluated that evening for a renewal.

Veterans and first responders in Tampa: the Red, White & Blue Tour stops in Ybor City on Tuesday, November 10.

We'll be at V.E.T.S. Wellness & Community, hosted by Stairway for Heroes. It's a waypoint stop: a smaller stop on our tour, at an event another group hosts.

Our team will be there to answer your questions. A physician will be there too. To see the physician about a medical cannabis card, you must have an appointment, and there are no walk-ins. Sign up at thegratefulveteran.org/tour/ and we'll text and email you the open times.

For a first card, approved veterans and first responders can see a physician at no cost, and we pay their Florida state fee. You apply first, and we pay only after you are approved. A physician makes every medical determination, and we can't promise a card.

Walk-in resource days for Florida veterans and first responders at VFW and American Legion halls. No cost to attend. A physician visit requires an appointment.

⛳️ A Great Day of Golf, Community, and Partnership! 🏆

Stairway for Heroes was proud to support the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Golf Tournament with two teams!

There’s something special about showing up for organizations that show up for us. We’re grateful for our relationship with MADD and the opportunity to support a community partner that believes in making a difference.
