Thankful Thursday #25 🙏❤️🤍💙

Today we are thankful for the more than 80 people who joined us on June 4th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa 🇺🇸🤝.

As we reflect on that evening just two weeks later, what stands out most isn’t the venue or the program. It’s the trust. The trust of the veterans, family members, community leaders, business owners, and supporters who chose to spend their evening with us and be part of what we are building.

At Stairway For Heroes, we understand that trust is earned. It comes from showing up, supporting others, building relationships, and staying committed to our mission. We are humbled that so many people continue to believe in what we are doing and choose to be part of this growing community ❤️.

The video below is a reminder of what is possible when people come together around a shared purpose. Through our Veteran Golf Program ⛳️ and our new Emotional Support Animal Program 🐕‍🦺, we are creating opportunities for veterans to connect, grow, and know they have a community standing beside them. And with more programs planned for later this year, we’re just getting started 🙌.

Happy 251st Birthday to the US Army ! 🇺🇸🪖🎉

Today, Stairway For Heroes proudly joins our nation in celebrating 251 years of Army excellence.

Since June 14, 1775, generations of Soldiers have answered the call to serve with courage, honor, and unwavering commitment. Through times of peace and conflict, they have defended our freedoms, protected our nation, and embodied the values that make America strong. 🇺🇸

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have worn the Army uniform and to the families who have stood beside them throughout their service. Your sacrifice, dedication, and leadership continue to inspire us every day. 🫡

We missed last week’s Thankful Thursday, but today’s post is an important one.

As we look back on our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, we are reminded of just how blessed we are to have so many incredible sponsors, partners, volunteers, golfers, and supporters who believe in the mission of Stairway for Heroes 🇺🇸⛳️🤝.

This video is a great reminder that our tournament was about much more than golf. It was about bringing together veterans, business leaders, and members of the Tampa Bay community to build relationships, strengthen connections, and support those who have served ❤️.

Our tournament was our best one yet, and none of it would have been possible without the organizations and individuals who invested in our mission. We are incredibly grateful for every sponsor who stood beside us and helped make this event a success 🙏🎉.

💙 Supporting those who serve our veteran community is just as important as serving veterans themselves. 🎯🇺🇸

On May 23rd, Stairway For Heroes was proud to support Outdoor Valor at their annual clay shoot. It was a fantastic day filled with camaraderie, fellowship, and strengthening the partnerships that make our veteran community stronger. 🤝🦅

Our Executive Director was honored to attend alongside Paul Compton, James Frymire R.T.(R)(ARRT), and Dan Hughes representing Stairway for Heroes and standing shoulder to shoulder with another organization dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families. 💪🇺🇸

We often say that nonprofits don’t compete, we complete each other. ❤️ Together, we create a stronger network of support for those who have sacrificed so much for our country.🎯🧡

On the morning of June 6, 1944, more than 156,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and stormed the beaches of Normandy. Facing overwhelming odds, they fought through fear, chaos, and unimaginable sacrifice to defend freedom for generations they would never meet.

Today, we remember the courage of the men who landed on those beaches.
We honor those who never made it home. And we carry forward the legacy they left behind. ⭐

At Stairway For Heroes, we believe remembrance is more than looking back. It is a promise to honor those who served by continuing to support the veterans who walk among us today. 🤝❤️🤍💙

To the heroes who landed.

Today we are thankful for MiJo Productions 🎥📸🙏

The pictures and videos they continue to capture for Stairway For Heroes and allow us to truly showcase the heart behind what we do 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙. This video is just a small example of the incredible work they have created for us and the way they help tell our story.

Their ability to capture the emotion, energy, community, and purpose behind our events is something we are extremely grateful for. We genuinely could not do what we do at the level we do it without their continued support and partnership.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day is a day to pause, reflect, and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country. ❤️🤍💙

Today we honor the heroes who never made it home 🕊️🇺🇸 Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy each day and their legacy lives on through the families, friends, and generations they impacted. ⭐⭐⭐

As we look across the rows of flags placed in remembrance 🎖️🇺🇸, we are reminded that freedom came at a cost many were willing to pay with their lives.

At Stairway For Heroes, we proudly remember those we lost and continue our mission of supporting the living, one veteran at a time 🤝💙 because service, remembrance, and community matter.

Thankful Thursday #21

Today we are thankful for every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, veteran, partner, and supporter who helped make our 3rd Annual Stairway For Heroes for Golf Tournament our best one yet 🙏❤️🤍💙

From the moment registration opened to the final putt, this event was a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around a shared mission 🇺🇸🤝.

Because of your support, we were able to bring together veterans, business leaders, and members of our Tampa Bay community for a day filled with camaraderie, relationships, laughter, and purpose. Seeing the course filled with over 120 golfers, smiling faces, and people supporting one another was something special.

We say it all the time and this tournament proved it once again: what we are building is bigger than golf. We are building community. We are building relationships. We are creating opportunities and making a difference one veteran at a time.

To everyone who believed in us, invested in us, and stood beside us… thank you. We could not do this without you 🙏⛳️

🇺🇸⛳️ WOW. We are still taking it all in.

The 3rd Annual Stairway for Heroes Golf Tournament was something special, and amazing still does not seem like a big enough word.

We welcomed 124 golfers who came together in support of veterans here in the Tampa Bay area and experienced an unforgettable day filled with community, camaraderie, and purpose. 💙⚓️

But after all of that, the most meaningful moment of the day had nothing to do with golf. ❤️🐾

Together, we were able to present a deserving veteran with an emotional support Golden Retriever 🐶, a moment that reminded all of us exactly why Stairway For Heroes exists and why this mission is bigger than a golf tournament.

It is not only about Special Operations. It is not about officers or enlisted. It is not about Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard. It is about our veterans. 🇺🇸

We will continue to fight the fight against the invisible, one veteran at a time. 👏

Thankful Thursday

Today we are thankful for Gary Hartfield ⛳️🙏.

As Gary continues his campaign for Tampa Mayor in 2027, we are grateful that he also chose to support our mission this year as a Patriot Sponsor, helping sponsor the Stairway for Heroes veteran team for tomorrow’s golf tournament 🇺🇸🤝.

Support like this goes far beyond sponsorship. It creates opportunities for veterans to be part of a day centered around community, camaraderie, and connection.

One of the things we appreciate most is when leaders in our community believe in what we are building and choose to invest directly into the veterans we serve. That support never goes unnoticed.
