With Gas Prices Near $15/Gallon - We Need Your Help!

Gas prices in Malawi are almost $15 per gallon. Some reports say it’s the 2nd highest in the world. With many families already struggling to find food each day and inflation near 30%, the burden can be overwhelming.

We anticipate that our team will make about 1,100 trips this year to train leaders and to conduct expectant mother hospital runs – two vital ministry functions. To travel this estimated 48,000 miles, we’ll need about 2,100 gallons of gas.

A gift of $15 covers the cost of 1 gallon of gas (1 hospital visit for a mother and her baby)

A gift of $75 covers the cost of 5 gallons of gas (2 training courses conducted in a village)

Meet Gladys 🇲🇼

For years, Gladys knew the fear and isolation that often surrounds HIV in Malawi. Living with HIV can bring more than physical challenges — it can bring silence, shame, and separation from the very community where people most need support.

Through her time at Namikango, Gladys received care, counseling, and encouragement to pursue treatment. But her story did not end with receiving help. As her church received HIV training, leaders began learning how to love, integrate, and walk alongside people living with HIV rather than leaving them hidden or alone.

Today, Gladys has become a leader in her church community. Together with her husband, she is helping others speak honestly, seek care, and experience the compassion of Christ through the local church.

Back Home! ✈️

Our team has safely returned from Malawi, and we are deeply grateful for your prayers over the past several weeks.

From time spent with Namikango staff and ministry leaders, to visiting villages, schools, churches, and development initiatives — this trip was a powerful reminder that God continues to work through faithful partnership and Christ-centered community transformation across Malawi.

From April 24th – May 7th, a small team from the U.S. will be traveling to Malawi — reconnecting with our staff, encouraging leaders, and spending time with students at Namikango’s Discipleship Training Institute (DTI).
