This is a great option for your student to get a ride home for Thanksgiving. Thank you for the Texas Tech Parent and Family Relation team for coordinating this.

It's not too early to plan your student's ride home for Thanksgiving! Our office has partnered with Breakshuttle to provide seamless bus services for students heading home for Thanksgiving. Buses will travel to Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso. Departures are scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th, with returns on Sunday, November 29th.

⚠️ Please note: seats are filling up quickly for Houston and San Antonio.

Here’s why Breakshuttle stands out compared to other travel options:
✔ Convenience: Direct bus routes from campus to the destination city, eliminating multiple stops unlike Greyhound.

Midterms can be a stressful time for college students, and sometimes the best support comes from home. Here are a few simple ways to show up for your Red Raider during exam season!

❤️ 5 Ways to Support Your Student During Midterms:

💌 Send an encouraging text or remind them you're proud of them.
☕ Send a little care package or treat to brighten their day. (We suggest Raiderly )
💤 Remind them that rest, meals, and breaks matter, too!
💬 Check in and listen without adding extra pressure.
🙌 Celebrate their effort, not just their grades.

❤️ Three generations of Red Raiders, and one very special family! ❤️🖤

One of the sweetest moments from Family Weekend was getting to meet this amazing family at check-in! Getting to hear their story and see three generations of Red Raiders all connected through Texas Tech was such a special reminder of what makes this community so meaningful.

At the heart of Family Weekend and the Texas Tech Parents Association is exactly this: bringing families together, celebrating the traditions that connect us, and building a Red Raider family that spans generations. ❤️

Here is a great resource for your students and an organization that you could donate your professional clothes to and help students as they prepare for interviews and internships.

If you've been looking for ways to support Red Raiders outside the classroom, consider supporting our friends at University Career Center!

Students have been utilizing the Career Closet (https://www.depts.ttu.edu/careercenter/) to prepare for on-campus recruiting and they need more inventory! The Career Closet is a free resources for students to shop for professional attire as they prepare for upcoming interviews, internships and career fairs. We invite you to support our students by donating gently used professional clothing, such as:

- Jackets/Blazers
- Suits
- Slacks
- Dress shirts and blouses
- Dresses and skirts
- Accessories (i.e. ties, belts, shoes)

They accept donations Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, at the University Career Center. Located at 3211 18th Street, suite 150 in the Wiggins Complex. Please call 806-742-2210 or email [email protected] if you have questions.
