Our weekend at the Texas Elite Showcase is one of our favorites, and we are sure these new additions and updates will make it even better. Check out some of the additions made for the upcoming year! 💜

🐷 Pigs are starting to fly at BBQ Fest with this fun collab!

Our friends at have teamed up with to create a one-of-a-kind flavor, “Bacon Me Happy,” featuring decadent bacon crumble lard cake mixed into creamy brown sugar, chipotle, and sweet smoked paprika ice cream.

🌟 "ChopTalk" Presentation Highlight: Uniquely Texas Pork

As part of the new "ChopTalk" Advocacy Academy, students collaborated on projects centered around assigned topics, conducting research, evaluating target audiences, and developing content for the association to use. To celebrate their hard work and creativity, we’re excited to showcase each team’s final presentation!

Sarah Albus, Malaina Baker, and Emma Perez teamed up to create content highlighting pork in different cultures represented in Texas. Through their project, they completed the following:
▪️Conducted three (3) interviews with representatives from the German, Hispanic, and English cultures
▪️Created the "Pork Passport" to encourage consumers to try pork in different cultural meals
▪️Established a social media account where their content received over 3,000 views each

🌟 "ChopTalk" Presentation Highlight: Telling the Stories of Texas Pork

As part of the new "ChopTalk" Advocacy Academy, students collaborated on projects centered around assigned topics, conducting research, evaluating target audiences, and developing content for the association to use. To celebrate their hard work and creativity, we’re excited to showcase each team’s final presentation!

Kotton West and Weston Lackey teamed up to create stories that connect the different perspectives within the Texas pork industry from producers to consumers. Through their project, they completed the following:
▪️Conducted six (6) interviews representing different industry perspectives
▪️Created six (6) different communications pieces highlighting their interviews
▪️Established an outline for Texas Pork to use to continue their work

As part of the new "ChopTalk" Advocacy Academy, students collaborated on projects centered around assigned topics, conducting research, evaluating target audiences, and developing content for the association to use. To celebrate their hard work and creativity, we’re excited to showcase each team’s final presentation!

Reese Huffaker, Kenley Krohn, and Madeline Rakowitz teamed up to create and test content on social media specifically for the Gen Z audience. Through their project, they completed the following:
▪️Created 10+ different social media posts
▪️Conducted research as to what content resonates best with different age groups
▪️Reached 16 different countries with their media platforms

As part of the new "ChopTalk" Advocacy Academy, students collaborated on projects centered around assigned topics, conducting research, evaluating target audiences, and developing content for the association to use. To celebrate their hard work and creativity, we’re excited to showcase each team’s final presentation!

Alaya Prado, Madison Hunzeker, and Reese Sagebiel teamed up to create a guide for consumers, as well as social content highlighting pork selection, cooking, and more. Through their project, they completed the following:
▪️Conducted a consumer survey with 100+ responses
▪️Created four (4) social media videos
▪️Established a consumer guide to utilize when planning their pork meals
