One homeschool family spoke up. 77 students benefited.

When a Texas homeschool mom learned her daughter was no longer eligible for dual credit at Cisco College, she reached out for help.

That one conversation led THSC to uncover a much bigger issue affecting 77 homeschool students.

Our Policy Team stepped in and worked with college and state officials to resolve the issue.

The result? All 77 students were reenrolled in their dual credit classes!

But what means the most to us is hearing how this family felt throughout the process:

“We felt seen, heard, protected, and fought for!”

This is why THSC does what we do. Protecting homeschool freedom doesn't stop when a bill becomes law.

Hear this family's story and see what having THSC in your corner can mean.

Have you heard of an umbrella school and wondered if you need one to homeschool in Texas? 🏠📚

Umbrella schools can help families with record-keeping, curriculum, and other services, but Texas homeschoolers have a lot of freedom that may make an umbrella school unnecessary. Understanding how they work can help you decide what’s actually right for your family.

Want to know more about umbrella schools, how they work, and alternatives like homeschool groups and co-ops?
