As we kick off the summer series, I want to take this opportunity to share my platform, Passing the Reins.

At the beginning of each Bullride Mania Rodeo, there are youth events such as mutton bustin’ and stick horse races. These events tie directly into my platform of encouraging the younger generation to get involved in rodeo and highlighting how important they are to the future of the sport we all love.

The next generation will play a major role in shaping the rodeo world over the coming years. How we welcome them and educate them about the sport is incredibly important. They will bring new ideas, fresh techniques, and a renewed energy to the rodeo atmosphere.

That is why it is so important to be a positive leader and role model, one who invites young people into the sport rather than pushing them away.

I am excited to see what the future holds and to continue advocating for the next generation of rodeo athletes. 🤍
