The DOVES Guidance Program

The DOVES Guidance Program We are a non-profit theraputic riding program for at risk and special need children. We are located in Lodi, Ca. Our program is operated at the Oxford Ranch.

We also rehabilitate horses and provide a sanctuary for the retired program horses.

Such a beautiful sunny afternoon for my great granddaughter Margo to meet the new minis! Margo fell in love with Ellie and vis sa versa 🥰 and my Boston Duke met Pi***la (Lola), she was so kind to him. The Minis are settling in so well. I think the like their new home. Thank you to all involved in bring them to the DOVES and Oxford Ranch. Ellie and Pi***la are going to bring so many much joy❤️

This is Jet our new horse we traveled all the way to Paso Robles on New Years day to pick up. He has a interesting and sad back story I will share later. We are getting to know him, he will be a project for Christy and me. He is very sound about 8 /9 years old, 15.1 hh has alot of buttons, neck reins, backup, whoa and side pass.
The scar on his nose is part of his story.
He's a sweet guy and wants to please. His new life and history began January 1st 2025.
Christy named him Jet.

This is the path that lead to the barn on Oxford Ranch, where hundreds of children learn all about horses and loving volunteers. I was truly blessed with The DOVES Guidance Program for 16 years. A new chapter has started for DOVES, a sanctuary for the amazing horses that spent their days with the noble cause of teaching kids all about the most amazing animal on this planet!
On this Thanksgiving day I am grateful for those horses the volunteers that gave their time and love to all the kids they worked with and to those kids and families I met on this journey. I will forever hold those memories in my heart!
