Provide support and assistance to the Lockeford Community Services District for community recreation programs, equipment for park and community center.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park and interested community,

Our next board meeting is CANCELLED for April 2. There being no urgent business, we decided to hold off on meeting in person until May.

The Friends will be able to support the freshening-up of the Community Center furniture this spring and may assist with the property signage thanks to your continued support. Shade umbrellas are slated for replacement as summer approaches. Other larger projects will wait until the District's major Park upgrades are complete.

The Friends has been named in a trust fund donation. We cannot be more grateful for this generosity. If this is an avenue you would like to use for tax deferred donations, speak with your personal financial advisor or tax consultant. We are a 501c3 organization.

An experienced member has volunteered to fill the webmaster position. Thank you! As the webpage is updated, please contact her with your suggestions and feedback.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park and interested community,

Our next board meeting is on THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2026 at 6 PM at the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. The meeting is open to ALL members.

Not the Friends funds, but to let you know, the LCSD has grant funds left from the restroom installation that will be used for enhancements of the playground, shade structure/gazebo and picnic area. We have been in discussion with the managers at LCSD about how the Friends can best support them at the Community Center and Park as they move forward. Recently, we covered the cost of a replacement black oak which did not make it through the winter wind storms. Other projects are in the works as the spring weather gets closer.

We are hopeful the webmaster position may be filled very soon. A volunteer is meeting with our current admin. to find out more about our specific needs.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park and interested community,

Our next board meeting is on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026 at 6 PM at the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. The meeting is open to ALL members.

We are gathering suggestions for ways we can support the development of the Lockeford Memorial Park in 2026 with the Lockeford Community Services District, the owner and operator of the Park and Community Center. We are always looking for ideas for fundraising events which would attract local residents in the area. Send us your thoughts or share at the meeting.

Our webmaster is stepping down after years of volunteer service. Would you be interested in helping to maintain the site? There are members who add information and updates but an administrator is needed. If this is a talent you can share, we'd love to hear from you.

With New Year's Day falling on the first Thursday of the month, our next Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park board meeting has been rescheduled to THURSDAY, JANUARY 8 AT 6PM At the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. The meeting is open to ALL members.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park and interested community,

Our next board meeting is on Thursday DECEMBER 4 at 6 PM at the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. The meeting is open to ALL members.

At the meeting we will be seeking fundraising suggestions for 2026. It is often difficult come up with ideas which do not duplicate other community organizations yet would attract local attendance. Send us your thoughts or share at the meeting.

Your 2026 membership renewal forms were recently mailed out (and attached below). Remember that all donations and dues are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

And you don't want to miss the Hospice of San Joaquin Tree of Lights and Cowboy Christmas Boutique on Saturday, December 6 starting at 4pm at 19000 Hwy. 88 (corner of Jack Tone Bypass & Hwy 88 in the former Well Fargo Bank parking lot). Plan to support Hospice with a memory Christmas tree light, listen to Christmas music hosted by Clements Community Church, enjoy a hot dog supper compliments of Clements Lockeford Lions Club, shop at the variety of local vendors and visit with Sheriff's Office Deputies, Mokelumne Fire Department, Clements Fire Department, AMR Ambulance Service, Santa and the Grinch!

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park,

We have some great news to share. The Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park will be continuing as usual as the nonprofit organization which supports the Lockeford Memorial Park and Community Center!

At the November annual meeting, a candidate from the floor volunteered to step up and serve on the 2026 Board of Directors. The nominating committee had already secured 4 willing candidates, and this addition fulfills the bylaw requirement. The members present voted unanimously to accept the candidates. A huge thank you goes out to those who will serve in the administrative positions of our organization next year. With that behind us, we can continue to focus on our mission and vision.

Our next event is not a fundraiser, but rather participation in hosting the annual Lockeford community Christmas event. The Hospice of San Joaquin Tree of Lights and Cowboy Christmas Boutique is on Saturday, December 6 starting at 4pm at 19000 Hwy. 88 (corner of Jack Tone Bypass & Hwy 88 in the former Well Fargo Bank parking lot). Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park members and community,

Our Annual Business Meeting is on Thursday November 6 at 6 PM at the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. The public as well as all members are welcome to attend this annual meeting.

The most important agenda item will be a report on the continuation status of the organization. At this time, the Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park have a lack of candidates required by the bylaws for the 2026 Board of Directors. Discussion will be open regarding the next steps for dissolving the organization.

We will be continuing our community support through the end of 2025 as co-hosts of the Cowboy Christmas Boutique on Saturday, December 6 from 4-7 PM. Clements Lockeford Lions Club will be serving their hot dog supper and holiday music and choir will be provided by Clements Church. This festive vendor boutique is held as part of the Hospice of San Joaquin Tree of Lights. Location is again at Hwy 88 and Jack Tone Bypass (former Wells Fargo Bank). Celebrate the season with some Christmas shopping.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park members and community,

Our next board meeting is at 6:00 PM on Thursday OCTOBER 2 at the Lockeford Community Center, 19258 N Jack Tone Rd. ALL members are welcome to attend.

At the meeting, we'll have a recap of our recent Park Vendor Sale. There was a steady stream of buyers and the vendors seemed pleased with their sales or business interest. Thank you to all you helped with this major fundraiser!

In addition, the nominating committee will report on candidates for next year's board. Current members expressing interest may be eligible candidates as well.

We'd like to get some new community input:
What would you like to see as a project or equipment addition for the Park?
How could we fundraise or connect with contacts for your idea?
Would you be able to help with networking, advertising or financial support for your idea?
Please send your ideas to us or share at a meeting.

So what's next? The Hospice of San Joaquin Tree of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, December 6. Hospice is working on the location. We'll keep you posted when more information is confirmed.

Hi Friends of the Lockeford Memorial Park members and community,

The Vendor Fair is less than 2 weeks away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9 am to 2 pm. ALL spaces are taken and there will be a wide variety of items for sale and business displays. Gift baskets of vendors' goods and other donated items will be available in our Pick A Prize raffle. Allie's food truck will be serving all day so relax and refresh while shopping!

A beloved local bakery stand that we are proud to announce will be at our Lockeford Park Vendor Fair for the 3rd year in a row! These tasty treats are a must try on September 27th, 9-2 at the Lockeford Community Center & Park- 19258 N. Jack Tone Road!

We are so excited to have this vendor returning for the 3rd year in a row to display her art at the Lockeford Park Vendor Fair!
