Last night, we had the amazing opportunity to attend 🌱 Closing the Loop: Building a Sustainable Future for Chicago’s Food System ♻️🍎 at the Climate Action Museum!

At Kindheart Consulting Group, we believe that true sustainability starts at the roots. We were honored to attend such an inspiring gathering bringing together local leaders like ✨Erika Allen, ✨Jake Tepperman and ✨Bob Kopach, driving food innovation across Chicagoland!

🎉 Wow, what an absolutely INCREDIBLE day! Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of attending the Hispanic Heritage Celebration at A.F. Hill Park!🌟✨
It was such a joy to celebrate, take in the rich culture and see the Fairmont community come together!
We were thrilled to speak about the Fairmont Stormwater System Rehabilitation Project and to listen to resident's thoughts on the progress on this vital project. Building a safer, stronger, and more resilient future starts with listening to residents!💙
We are so proud to work alongside such dedicated leaders who care so deeply about the Fairmont Community, like Supervisor, Alex Zapien and the Lockport Township Board, who are making impactful improvements happen.

⛈️ If the rain today has taught us anything, it’s that stormwater infrastructure is always a timely topic! ☔ While the rain keeps coming, Kindheart Consulting Group is keeping the momentum going. Our team was out on-site alongside Engineering Resource Associates, Inc., observing the excellent construction progress being delivered by Austin Tyler Construction 🏗️. 🌟 Major Progress in Fairmont! Fairmont Stormwater System Rehabilitation Project, Phase 2: Barry Ave is officially underway!🚜✨
Big things are happening on the ground! Heavy equipment is starting to arrive, and street grinding is officially under way. We are one step closer to a drier Fairmont! 💪 Flood protection and lasting infrastructure improvements are in full swing!
This incredible effort is made possible through dedicated teamwork. We are immensely proud to partner with our valued clients at Lockport Township Government , alongside the talented engineering team at Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. in the field, and the skilled crews at Austin Tyler Construction bringing Phase 2 of this project to life! 🤝🏗️

Yet, historically disadvantaged communities continue to bear the brunt of delayed public investment, severe flooding, and climate risks.

Today, we attended the celebration at the Will County Health Department & Community Health Center!
Community Health Centers are the true backbone of public health. They remove barriers to care by providing high quality services to everyone, regardless of income or status.
It was amazing to see such strong support for this critical mission from U.S. Representative, Lauren Underwood, State Representative, Dagmara "Dee" Avelar, Will County Executive, Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, and Health Department Executive Director, Elizabeth Bilotta.

🏗️ On Site & In Action: Heavy Machinery & Bucket List Dreams!🚜✨
We spent some time Wednesday checking out the progress at the construction site for Phase 1 of the Fairmont Stormwater System Rehabilitation Project, and things are moving right along!

Kathy Tonissen Pecora & Kate Gray were joined by Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. and P.T. Ferro Construction Company, both doing fantastic work to keep this crucial infrastructure project moving forward smoothly.

Lockport Township Government Supervisor, Alex Zapien, took a tour of the site, getting a firsthand look at the progress and chatting with residents about the progress.

The highlight of the day? Kathy Tonissen Pecora took a ride in a front loader! Who said site visits can't have a little fun? 🚜✨

Projects like the Fairmont Stormwater System Rehabilitation Project are all about building stronger, safer, and better drained communities.
