🐷❤️ Some friendships—and some blessings—take a little time to come full circle! ❤️🐷

Back in the spring, while visiting a winery in Fredericksburg, TX, we met a wonderful woman who, along with her husband, raises pigs. During our conversation, she mentioned that they would love to donate a pig to Barking Dog Ranch TX so we could turn it into food for local families through our food bank partners.

Well… summer came and went, and today we finally made the trip out to their ranch. And WOW—did they bless us! 🐷❤️
They generously donated 90 pounds of homemade sausage, which we’ll be distributing tomorrow to help put good food on the tables of families in need.
But that's not all…
They have also committed to donating a 700-pound hog to Barking Dog Ranch TX! We’ll have it processed and donate the meat to local food banks.

This is what community looks like. Neighbors helping neighbors. Farmers sharing what they raise. And a simple conversation over a glass of wine turning into hundreds of pounds of food for people who need it. 🍷🐖❤️

We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and for everyone who helps make Barking Dog Ranch TX possible.
Sometimes the best things in life start with a simple “hello.” And sometimes… they come with a whole lot of bacon.

Today I'm sharing something deeply personal. Why Barking Dog Ranch TX exists.

For many years, I kept quiet about my experience with SNAP benefits because I worried about the stigma. The truth is, sometimes life throws challenges at us that we never expect. During one of the hardest seasons of my life, SNAP helped ensure that I could put food on the table while I worked to get back on my feet.

I'm honored to be part of this video because I believe there shouldn't be shame in asking for help when you need it. Programs like SNAP aren't about handouts—they're about giving people and families the chance to get through difficult times with dignity while they rebuild. Millions of Americans rely on SNAP during periods of hardship, and for many, it's a temporary bridge to stability.

No matter where you stand politically, I hope you'll take a few minutes to watch my story with an open mind. Compassion isn't partisan. Hunger shouldn't be either.
