Lockhart Chamber of Commerce

Lockhart Chamber of Commerce Established in 1935 to improve and strengthen the business environment of Lockhart. What is a Chamber of Commerce?

A Chamber of Commerce is voluntary organization that unites businesses and professional people in an effort to expand the economy of an area. It must be understood that a Chamber of Commerce is PEOPLE. There is a place in the Chamber for members to get involved and accomplish collectively what no one of them could do alone, thereby creating a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energies an

d finances. Today, a Chamber of Commerce has become a community organization which recognizes all the factors that affect their community and adjust their programs accordingly. What a Chamber is NOT… A Chamber of Commerce is not a department of the city, county or state government, but work along side these entities in certain situations and issues for the betterment of the community. It is not a social, service or charitable institution or a private advertising, publicity or public relations agency.

Behind every local business, organization, service, and industry are people whose work helps keep our community moving.

Labor Day is an opportunity to recognize the time, talent, dedication, and care that so many individuals bring to their work each day. From business owners and employees to educators, first responders, healthcare professionals, tradespeople, and public servants, every contribution helps strengthen the community we are proud to call home.

The office will be closing today at noon (Friday, September 4th), and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

We are grateful for all you do for Lockhart and Caldwell County, and we wish everyone a safe, restful, and well-deserved Labor Day!

🇲🇽🎶 LOCKHART — IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE! 🎶🇲🇽

The Greater Caldwell County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lockhart are excited to announce the 2026 Diez y Seis de Septiembre Celebration!

Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 in Historic Downtown Lockhart
Live on the Michelob ULTRA Stage

Get ready for TWO DAYS of live music, culture, community and celebration in the heart of the BBQ Capital of Texas — and this year’s entertainment lineup is🔥🔥🔥!

🎸 FRIDAY NIGHT

We welcome GRAMMY Award-winning Texas recording artist Rick Treviño! A familiar name to country and Tejano fans alike, Treviño brings a career that has crossed musical boundaries and earned national recognition — and he’s bringing it to Downtown Lockhart!

Then it’s Puro Party Time as La Tropa Estrella takes over the stage! 💃🔥 Bringing the HEAT and a music catalog packed with cumbia favorites, La Tropa Estrella has built a following around the kind of high-energy sound made for the dance floor.

🤠 SATURDAY NIGHT

Texas Country comes to Diez y Seis with Kin Faux! These guys aren’t just bringing the party — they’re bringing the hardware. 🏆 2021 Texas Country Music Association Country Band of the Year, 2023 TCMA Entertainer of the Year, multiple #1 Texas radio hits, and now a 2026 TCMA Band of the Year finalist!

And then… we close out Diez y Seis with a TEJANO LEGEND. 🔥

🎤 Ram Herrera & The Outlaw Band!

Known to generations of Tejano fans as “The Most Wanted Man,” Ram Herrera brings decades of Tejano music to the Michelob ULTRA Stage. A GRAMMY-nominated artist and longtime fixture of the Tejano music scene, Herrera is the perfect way to bring Saturday night — and Diez y Seis 2026 — home! 🇲🇽🎶

And that’s only part of the weekend!

We’ll also have Jessica Ramos, La Nueva Maravilla, Broken Arrow, performances by Lockhart ISD students, the 2026 Diez y Seis Queen Coronation, the City of Lockhart proclamation and our 2026 Royal Court Raffle Drawing!

Diez y Seis is more than a festival. It’s an opportunity to come together and celebrate the music, traditions and Hispanic heritage here in Caldwell County.

We are incredibly grateful to the City of Lockhart, our sponsors, volunteers, performers and everyone who helped us keep this Lockhart tradition alive.

🇲🇽 ¡VIVA DIEZ Y SEIS!

The Lockhart Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Hometown Meat Market, LLC as our September Member of the Month!

Located in Luling, Hometown Meat Market, LLC was created from a need that owner Clyde Sommerlatte experienced firsthand. As the pasture-raised Black Angus herd at his 2 Bar C Ranch continued to grow, so did the need for dependable and timely processing options close to home. Recognizing that other area producers were facing the same challenge, the idea for a local USDA processing facility began to take shape.

In 2022, Hometown Meat Market, LLC opened its doors, providing custom processing for area producers and families while also giving the public access to a wide selection of quality meats.

Today, customers can shop premium beef, chicken, pork, Texas-raised quail, and a variety of classic, specialty, and hard-to-find cuts. Hometown Meat Market's smokehouse also produces smoked bacon, sausages, jerky, and snack sticks. Products are available to purchase in-store, and Hometown Meat Market ships across the continental United States.

Hometown Meat Market, LLC continues to support area producers through custom processing services that include animal tracking from harvest to pickup, cooler space for aging, vacuum packaging, private labeling, and boxing of finished products.

From supporting local and area producers to providing families with another source for quality meats, Hometown Meat Market represents the kind of locally rooted business we are proud to have as part of our Chamber community.

Please join us in congratulating Hometown Meat Market, LLC on being named the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce September Member of the Month!
