Every trip begins and ends with a pedestrian. Whether walking to work, crossing a busy intersection, connecting to public transit, or simply moving through our communities, pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders, service members and everyday Americans who answered tragedy with bravery and compassion.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the victims, stand with their families and reflect on the strength and unity our nation demonstrated in the days that followed.
