This weekend, we had the privilege of attending Forty Mile Tattoo Convention for the second year in a row.

This incredible event brings together some of the most talented tattoo artists from around the world and a community that understands just how powerful art, connection, and self-expression can be.

There’s a reason Runestone Ranch continues to show up in spaces like this. Tattoo culture and the first responder community have long been connected. For many first responders and veterans, tattoos are more than art. They can tell stories, honor people and experiences, mark chapters of life, or simply provide an outlet for expression.

Throughout the weekend, we had the opportunity to connect with first responders, veterans, families, and supporters who understand the importance of creating spaces where those who serve can connect, decompress, find new outlets, and strengthen themselves outside of the uniform.

Those conversations are exactly why we’re here.
A huge thank you to Jason Lawson and Eleven Mag Tattoo for welcoming Runestone Ranch back for another year and continuing to give us a place to connect with this community. We’re grateful to be part of it.

On Tuesday, August 25th, Stampede Livermore will be hosting a Lobster Feed benefiting Runestone Ranch!

We’re incredibly grateful to have been selected as the beneficiary of this event right here in our Livermore community.

Proceeds will directly support the continued growth of our programs, helping us expand the resources, education, and support we provide to first responders and their families.

Grateful to be part of the Ripon Farmers Market’s First Responders Nights again this year.

This is our second year participating, and it’s always a great opportunity to meet members of the community, eat great food, share what we’re doing at Runestone Ranch, and have meaningful conversations about supporting first responders and their families.

As first responders ourselves, members of Runestone Ranch were honored to help the widow of a fellow first responder by removing dangerous tree limbs that threatened her roof and hanging a new swing.

Volunteering our services and looking out for each other doesn’t end when the shift does.

At Runestone Ranch, we are a nonprofit in Livermore that’s creating a place where first responders can decompress, reconnect, and learn practical skills that support a long and healthy career.

Today we celebrate 250 years since 1776 and the freedoms that continue to unite us.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting a hands-on workshop with the team from Renewal by Andersen, where first responders learned the fundamentals of window and door installation that will help support the future housing used for retreats at Runestone Ranch.

Participants from law enforcement and fire agencies across the Bay Area came together to learn new skills, work alongside one another, and contribute to a vision larger than themselves.

The day was filled with education, teamwork, and practical application: values that are at the core of everything we do.

We are incredibly grateful to the Renewal by Andersen team for sharing their expertise and investing in our mission. Every skill learned and every project completed brings us one step closer to creating a place where first responders can reconnect with their purpose alongside those who understand the job and its challenges.

On June 22nd we will be hosting a FREE trade skills workshop for current & former first responders: join us for a full day of hands-on learning with Renewal by Andersen as we install windows and doors on the cabins at Runestone Ranch.

Great opportunity to learn a new skill, work with your hands, spend time outdoors, and reconnect with the satisfaction that comes from building something real. Participants will learn professional installation techniques from experienced craftsmen while contributing directly to a project that will support first responders and their families for years to come.

As a Livermore-based organization, we were honored to be part of the Livermore Rodeo this year. The Livermore Rodeo isn’t just a rodeo: it’s one of the community’s oldest traditions, dating back to 1918 when it began as a fundraiser to support war efforts during World War I. Community support and service are literally part of the Rodeo’s origin story.

It was great to see so many familiar faces, meet new friends, and connect with people who share a passion for supporting those who serve our communities. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their story, learned about our mission, or contributed to helping us build a place where first responders can find connection, purpose, and support.
